Make time to work on yourself, not just in yourself.
You gain leverage when you view yourself neutrally. When you are dispassionate and able to not take self-criticism personally, you can grow more effectively.
When you work on yourself, you aren’t held back by ideas of being consistent with history. You can evolve by shedding the past.
But we must make time for this. It is much easier in the short run to do easy work, but hard work builds strength and keeps you from feeling unworthy or cracking under pressure.
You live with yourself always, and nothing in your daily life is as important or has as much impact as you.
Get out a pen and paper, and write out problems with yourself. When it’s in front of you, it’s so much easier to conceptualize and grow.
