You don’t have to do anything. You can even gain some control over your perceptions. Practice training the brain to learn a better story. Your method of perceiving can change with effort.
This is time-consuming and difficult, but definitely possible. The neural networks in your brain are trained by senses. With imagination and practice you can manufacture new behavior. You can redefine your outlook.
Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
Creativity can be cultivated if you dedicate time to imagine. Mere raw data isn’t useful. Looking at numbers without a story cannot help you. Dedicate time to slowing down and creating and perceiving more. The mind’s stories are made during your lifetime, not passed down genetically. You can rewrite your experience if you practice.
Change how you think and the rest will follow.
