Uncompression
ramble_ty11.2.19zm5d6s_nb_b

It is amazing what humans accomplish when motivated by the animal they are composed with.

Intelligence is a game; it can be reproduced outside of the confines of evolution and biology.

When the solution is discovered, perhaps it will appear as obvious as the inclusion of the number zero.

No one can truly know where they are headed.

Try and accomplish a little each day, so that forests will be grown from your efforts.

When something worries, remember the roots of existence.

Billions of years occurred for you to get where you are today.

Being that you are of the universe, you cannot leap through time at your discretion, yet you are not forced through it either.

Choices impose upon the future, yet also expand it.

Could you truly be anyone different?

Probably not.

If the reasons for the decision make sense to you, it doesn't matter, perhaps.

Give Thanks
ramble_ty11.3.28zm4d1s_nb_b

I woke up this morning thankful to draw breath.

I am thankful to know my friends. Their wisdom and humor and outlooks make me glad to know them each time we talk.

Amusing; life is a trope.

The world is expanding; the future keeps getting brighter.

I enjoy watching my dog frolicking on our walks; I'm thankful for all the time they've been with us.

I'm thankful for my little plant, how it grows and grows and stands tall in the face of eternity.

I'm thankful for being able to watch little brains work on a task; humans didn't evolve for math; we adapted to it.

I'm thankful for my friend saying I was funny; I love being a human animal and embracing that fact.

You can don any reality you can imagine; choose a fun one.

I'm thankful for the little squirrel eating the nut and watching me watch them.

I'm thankful for the clothing I have.

Different attire changes minds.

I'm thankful for the little one helping their sibling be friends with another.

We all want friends.

All of life is a skill.

Maybe some are born more skilled than others, but we all can get better with practice.

If you understand what you want, and understand why you sabotage yourself, you can become more enjoyable.

Self Control
ramble_ty11.3.29zm4d2s_nb_b

By evoking fun at all junctures you can prolong passion.

Why are you doing this?

Because it's fun.

Looking at strengths gained over time, there is perhaps not a single breakthrough, but many tiny works built over time.

The great oak was once just a little nut that held its ground.

What should you do?

Always be fun.

How do you stop creating half-baked projects?

Publish.

I think I cease the effort because I am afraid of success.

I am afraid of being proven wrong, but doing nothing can itself be failure.

The irritants of life, many and unique, build up and crush dreams from reality.

Ideas die in minds of creators without expression.

The promoter of virtue is within the mind of the unconscious.

Now is the time for sacrifice and self-denial of immediate pleasure and ease in exchange for the path of hard work, joy, and deep fulfillment.

When I think of things I enjoy---studying, gardening, developing---I am pulled back to the supreme joy of programming.

The pure unlocking of ideas, finessing the infinite resource of creativity.

There is no product that can be made, no site constructed, that engenders that awesome feeling so much as writing and programming.

Sometimes I don't know what to use the skill for immediately, so it languishes and creates more poverty of thought, perhaps.

What lovely thing can this humble being of nature produce?

There is perhaps no great thing, only many small pebbles that together are a mountain.

The task of embedding joy in programming is not so much a problem as a mindset.

I sometimes feel halfway through a project that there is no reason to complete it, that it is hopeless and beyond my skills.

All limits are artificial.

What are you going to do today that helps?

Do One More
ramble_ty11.3.30zm4d3s_nb_b

Do good and good will seek you.

It's amazing how much you can accomplish when you remove the artificial limits imposed by yourself.

You thought you could only do a certain number of repetitions, and yet when you get to that number you can keep going and break records.

Tired? Keep going.

It is invigorating to see something designed operating.

Do not fear failure; fear not trying.

Be bold in your attempts, and sure of your boldness.

Joy of Learning
ramble_ty11.3.31zm4d4s_nb_b

Seeing a little one's eyes and voice struggle and overcome to-them-difficult questions is mesmerizing.

To be an encourager and teacher is solemn and fun.

It reminds me of working on difficult things, sitting and working in increments, trying always to find creative ways to dispel distractions.

The little one will work in that manner, piping up that it is too hard, sometimes.

I do not have such a helper as I am to them, ready to swoop in and break down the question and explain the components until they understand.

My helper is the understanding that I am not alone: The ego is a small process of the mind, which works continuously.

The key is discovering how to finesse the mind in ways that optimally produce what you desire.

Understand the inefficiency to fix it.

What are you trying to answer?

Who are you answering it for?

What will you do today that helps?

Do More
ramble_ty11.4.1zm4d5s_nb_b

I hate this feeling, for the record, the feeling of being tired but feeling like I need to do more; I've suffered it so many times and it always seems to collapse back into inaction. I burn out.

Life is long.

The world will not come crashing down if all your aims are not reached.

You've done more than you thought you could, and you will again.

Perhaps it's helpful to think of everything as a cosmic joke.

There is no failure, only feedback.

Saw Saturn and its moons tonight, very awe inspiring.

That thing is out there, and with technology you could go there.

You benefit from not doubting nature's timing, perhaps.

Better to learn the lesson of growing effectively now rather than later.

Trying to do too much at once can diminish the animal's interest in trying.

The job of the conscious mind is to set up work so that it becomes play.

Figure out and achieve flow: Don't assume the best way to develop is with alloted time slots.

Burning too hot can kill the desire to progress more thoroughly than burning too coolly.

What will you create tomorrow with the enjoying of another day, with good weather and nice people?

Games can be great life memories.

Hurray for pleasant memories!

Learning to Fear Fear
ramble_ty11.4.2zm4d6s_nb_b

What is in store can be made worse by being afraid.

What's the worst that could happen?

There are so many good books and resources out there.

For every new book, read an old one.

I feel like I have been trying to get up early, even when there is no real reason to.

Be awake when it is helpful to be; that is best for the long term.

Knowing you can advance and master a concept is a very big boost to self-esteem.

Learning is a gradient where practice moves you closer to understanding.

Go is an interesting game. The handicapping can make it so easy to play with different skill levels.

Sometimes one door closes but allows you to explore so many other interesting and varied tastes.

Poorly-executed ideas tend to confine thinking into their box, but well-executed ideas embolden to think new thoughts.

You've only just started, and this is where it gets really good.

"Say to them of fearful heart: Be strong! Fear not!"

Getting Hot
ramble_ty11.4.3zm4d7s_nb_b

Focus on establishing positive feedback loops.

Aim to be an interesting person.

Never bored, always engaged.

Make it happen, now.

The Universe
ramble_ty11.4.4zm4d1s_nb_b

Why do you not know yet? Because the universe doesn't want you to know, yet.

Reality will figure out what you should be.

Nature is as perfect as can be, perhaps.

Given the options, choose the least bad, not the known bad.

Looking at the whole picture reveals inconsistencies in some arguments.

Do not go to the dark side: Evil wipes itself out.

What you fear does not have the power: The fear has the power.

Cool Breeze
ramble_ty11.4.5zm4d2s_nb_b

I'm thankful for the sunshine and cool breeze of the morning.

I'm thankful for unexpected funny things.

I'm thankful for the challenges of life that make us stronger.

I'm thankful for the dog barks that mean different things.

I'm thankful for finding a yellow lantern; it is a beacon of diffuse light.

I'm thankful for boxes, and organization to enjoy.

I'm thankful for books to learn from.

I'm thankful for people in life to admire and respect.

I'm thankful for cloths to clean screens.

I'm thankful for sunglasses to make light more comfortable and contacts to reveal the world.

I'm thankful for flowering trees spreading their love.

I'm thankful for antibiotics to alleviate illness and screens to alleviate bugs.

The First Step
ramble_ty11.4.6zm4d3s_nb_b

Writing illustrates the nature of the mind.

When the mind is tired, its judgment is impaired.

Perhaps the mind can be creatively sidestepped by habit.

Let the body's yearnings for action throw off the chains of slow-wittedness.

Problems are rarely best solved through brute force.

Procrastination is dissolved by understanding the problem and learning about the incentives and the perceived pain, perhaps.

Happiness is like hunger: Where food fills a belly, action fills a mind.

Perhaps goals can never be satisfied to our desires.

We always want more, but sometimes more is less.

Perhaps the key is not bulk of action but precision of action.

Eliminate the nonessential so the essential is completed with more heart.

Learning to eliminate the nonessential is difficult; to an untrained mind all action is on some level essential.

The difficulty is in understanding one's desires and structuring life and tasks into that framework of fulfillment.

The essential demands attention now. There is plenty of time for the nonessential later.

The nonessential often wins the battle for attention because it is simpler.

In a year, you will have forgotten the difficulty of the task.

What will you have for the time that has passed?

Comfort zones are meant to be rested in, not lived at.

It is not satisfying to be without challenge.

Challenge yourself now,
for challenge builds character.
Happiness is that.

Know Nothing
ramble_ty11.4.7zm4d4s_nb_b

What do you want?

I want to believe and know that existence is not here for us.

We are riders on a rock just like the owl and tree.

If we know that nothing matters in the big scheme of things, that isn't terrifying: It's liberating.

You can rise above the ideas of your forerunners, as they did before theirs, and build a world with better systems.

I don't know what to do, but I do know it doesn't matter what I do.

The planet will continue spinning. The sun will continue producing light.

It is better to live in the Now than perpetually in the future, waiting for the next great thing.

There is more than enough to be happy for ten lifetimes, but it can be squandered by constantly seeking the next best thing.

The mind is probably the most powerful and strange ability in the universe.

There have been billions of years to develop the unconscious, and perhaps only a few million for the conscious---the ego--to act as if it's in control.

There can be considered a fundamental difference between wanting and liking.

There have been studies where they can selectively remove liking or wanting (there are different neurochemicals and pathways), and the animals would stop seeking out the pleasure without wants, or not lick their lips during it without liking.

Perhaps you should move toward liking more and wanting less.

What do you want?

Know nothing is planned: Nothing matters.

Rise above the desire of wanting.

Enjoy the moment.

Small Challenges
ramble_ty11.4.8zm4d5s_nb_b

Perhaps the rational mind can rationalize anything the unconscious wishes to do.

Often the unconscious mind knows you better than the conscious ego. It knows what will cheer you up and bring you down, and sometimes only through rationalizing can the behavior be brought about.

Sometimes little challenges---the many irritants you know you can overcome, but are too tired to do so---lead to the surest and swiftest end of growth.

Sometimes many small challenges can be more difficult than a single feat to overcome.

Problems can multiply each other, blowing each other out of proportion.

Understand why you want to do something. The better you are able to articulate that, the sooner you will be motivated.

Perhaps it is not the large few distractions that prolong your journey, but the many easy tasks.

Sometimes you must struggle at first to overcome later struggle.

New Moment
ramble_ty11.4.9zm4d6s_nb_b

Find yourself here, wherever you are, looking out at the world with eyes created from the world.

It can be so rare to sit back and enjoy all the sensations that you are experiencing.

You can go further than you think you can, even when you take this into account.

Who are you?

What makes you interesting to yourself?

It is a question we can all struggle with, for who we want to be and who we are sometimes is incongruent.

Perhaps you should not constantly strive.

Why strive unless to eventually live?

Why not live now?

There are so many memories that are fond to remember.

Why spend so much time trying to achieve joy, when you have so much already in your memories?

Happiness is not only in the future, but in the past as well.

The mind paints a picture before you can decide how to look it, and in so doing, unconscious habits frame your worldview and reality.

In the simplest thing---a leaf, a molecule, an atom---there are so many fascinating discoveries and moments to be had.

Why complete the challenge of existence if not for the fun of it?

Perhaps the chaos of the mind is settled more by fun than boredom.

Nature knows a sublime way that you have yet to ponder.

Ball Momentum
ramble_ty11.4.10zm4d7s_nb_b

Life can be like a bike you are pushing along a path. Go too slow and the bike falls over, too fast and you can't keep up.

There can be trouble convincing yourself, not because of actual discomfort, but because of perceived discomfort.

Break down problems until they are trivial.

There is no challenge without the perception of it.

Success can depend on the ability to justify present discomfort for future joy.

What is the biggest thing on your mind at this moment?

Why are you putting it off?

Is it so difficult that you'd rather have unease rather than face the challenge?

Set your mind free by contemplating the evidence for your ability to do it.

You are the combined factors of many processes.

With control over the many, you can elucidate more control over the combination.

"Start small because if you try to grab too much you'll end up losing it all."

During Now
ramble_ty11.4.11zm4d1s_nb_b

I will live this day as if it is my last.

I will enjoy the colors and smells, the warmth of sun on my skin.

I have nothing to give but the effort I put forward, and success requires love and affection.

The reality in me and around me is fond of passion, and I will not cease to discover the good in all things.

We judge with our minds, and our minds are pliable.

Every moment I will kindle with a longing and release.

The joy of the simple will support me, and where others try to manipulate it, I will reject.

Fascination with the world's complexity will be developed, and I will practice the art of Now.

Every moment is a precious thing, and I will waste not a drop of time.

I am in the universe and of the universe, and this affords me a rewarding look.

The things around me I have built up, and I will not hesitate to use that which helps to eliminate the nonessential.

Nature, please let me appreciate you in your myriad of ways.

Let me give thanks for all the wonderful time you have bestowed, and to all those who make life more interesting.

Boldly progress, and without fear.

You will get to where you need to be.

Knowledge of success will not erase hard work, so proceed as if with knowledge of success.

Avoiding Burnout
ramble_ty11.4.12zm4d2s_nb_b

Perhaps a mind can easily be trapped by motivation, raise the bar too high for themself, and upon failing to clear it, give up entirely.

Another possibility is not so much an acknowledged "giving up", but a gradual shifting of passions and interests as the allure wears off, to be replaced with the miseries and faults and struggles of reality.

What can you do to avoid burnout?

Never attempting to succeed is perhaps not an option: Creatures want to improve.

Why are you doing it in the first place?

Do you enjoy it for its own sake, or for the hoped effects it brings?

If neither, do not continue.

When you know why you want to do something, think about the benefits and how you'll feel having completed it.

Challenges are meant to be overcome.

Obstacles are meant to be removed.

Joy is meant to be had.

With a goal in mind, reduce it now.

Be concerned with long-term success, not short-term desires.

Finish the race; what you place is less important.

Having a low barrier and repeatedly clearing it can build more confidence than a higher barrier with haphazard results.

Anything you believe you can do as a new habit, simplify and make it easier.

Do not accept ceasing instead of doing minimal work.

Far better to do three repetitions a day than consider three useless and do none.

Once three is beyond easy, you will do more and more, yet it will never be a struggle, more a small challenge to the ego.

Success is the long run, and most crucially that takes persistence, and patience.

You alone can do feats that you now consider marvelous.

It is a joy to be along for this ride.

Make history, and rise above your dragons.

Continue being superb.

Practice Training
ramble_ty11.4.13zm4d3s_nb_b

There are many marvelous things in the training of a new discipline.

The manner to hold the mind, body, and hand, the method for the eye to appreciate action. Training the mind to understand the paths and abilities of your own flesh and bone.

It can be easy to critique another if you don't know the dedication and practice that was required to achieve proficiency.

Success is through dogged persistence of practice and growth.

There is no 'right' way to do anything; parameters and variables must always be left undefined in the world.

Your habits, curated and closely inspected, provide value to your future self.

Every moment that you leave your comfort zone, you enable a more full aspect of your personality.

You are the output of your experiences and habitat.

Funny how habitat is so composed of habit.

Big chunks of the environment are not the things around you, but how you develop and use them.

There are habits of language that you pick up and use to make sense of the world.

The language you think with can change what thoughts you can think.

By learning something new, something you didn't know you didn't know, you can improve your reasonableness.

There is no perfect human, no perfect world---only a perfecting one, perhaps.

Learn about what you don't know you don't know.

Others have done it before; they can be your guide, and you theirs.

Prowling for Fun
ramble_ty11.4.14zm4d4s_nb_b

It could be said that boredom is in the mind, not the environment.

As yet the mind is the only safe place from encroachment; the body can easily be locked up but the mind still wanders.

The mind and body are not one-way streets. They both feed back into each other.

Given a mind created by a body, the body can be influenced by the mind.

By remembering fond memories you can elate yourself into action.

A great deal of persistence is your own creation, purely in the mind and the perceptions it creates.

The map may not be the territory, but it influences how you explore it.

Seek out fun and joy.

Remove yourself from unhelpful circumstances and create the world around you that you desire.

Planning Ahead
ramble_ty11.4.15zm4d5s_nb_b

As fears are conquered, life builds in enjoyment and patterns.

We plan to say or do one thing, and it changes and morphs at the circumstances.

As the borders of the day are filled and pushed, enjoy every moment, even those with pain and fear.

Ask the busy for help, not the idle. The idle make excuses; the busy pursue opportunities.

Now is the time to explore.

Let muscles fatigue and grow stronger, so the load is lighter tomorrow.

Rest, and keep growing.

Routine Builder
ramble_ty11.4.16zm4d6s_nb_b

Perhaps a successful pattern involves forethought, attention to detail, flexibility, and a reason why.

Let's say you wish to read 40 pages a day.

Going from 0 to 40 is difficult, perhaps, if you have too many structures and distractions in life.

Perhaps think about how to split the 40 over the day, or slowly increase the number per day.

You are human, capable of so much more than incognizant beasts.

There are no challenges but the ones you give yourself, perhaps.

There is a way, and you can find it.

Rest, for tomorrow is joy.

Everything is a big cosmic joke, but it is to amuse you, not provoke you.

Enjoy what has been given to you; it didn't have to be this way.

Be wary of those who take life seriously.

Ignorance is powerful when mixed with ambition.

Be ignorant; be ambitious; be creative.

Life Includes Rest
ramble_ty11.4.17zm4d7s_nb_b

It's easy to imagine life as an everpresent battle to continue.

Remember that life requires rest.

You cannot go full speed ahead all the time.

You must and should recharge and rechart the course you want.

"Given a tree to cut and an hour to work, sharpen the blade for 50 minutes and cut for 10."

"Point yourself in the right direction and you need only walk."

Vincent van Gogh declared that a person fortunate to know their calling cannot be counted among the unfortunate, regardless of their finances.

The winds of change never cease blowing around you, but you are wind as well, capable of creating from nothing.

You have as much time as you give yourself.

Be astounded by the number of excellent memories that can be packed into a year, the many things learned and challenges overcome.

It is doable, but requires perseverance, action, and anti-burnout techniques.

Unknown unknowns can be so tricky, and so vast and many.

Knowledge can be crucial in the discovery of happiness.

Should you not seek to find a calling so that you may be fortunate?

It's a difficult question, but it yields to persistence as all worthy things do.

Home and work cannot be balanced once and never recalibrated; both home and work are dynamic systems requiring different levels of commitment at different times.

Focus on the present life, not simply the future life.

Live first in the Now; it is eminently useful to train the mind to enjoy the moment.

There is power in less.

Focus can increase quality and value even while diminishing quantity.

Friend, peace be upon this moment, and may you find your calling.

Dismember Fear
ramble_ty11.4.18zm4d1s_nb_b

What you are afraid of you should be challenging.

What have you to do that can be worth more than leaving your comfort zone?

The projects available are numerous and the ones that make your heart beat fast are the most worthy.

By pushing your fears against the cliff of action you enlarge your confidence and increase your value.

The strength of humanity is in the intolerance for the status quo and the passion for improvement.

You are greater than who you used to be.

The challenges you face will make you even greater.

Turn away from the simplicity of ennui.

Reject boredom and inaction.

You have within you the heart of a human, and the human is satisfied through dogged pursuit of passion.

Venture forth to build mighty castles, and rise above the dragons of fear.

Existence Speck
ramble_ty11.4.19zm4d2s_nb_b

Perhaps the amount of possible control over the unconscious is large, but not necessarily direct.

If the conscious is the human, the unconscious is the animal, and you are more animal than human.

It's a long and perhaps exhausting experience, but the animal can learn the human's idea of control and long-term benefit.

Life could be considered a speck on a speck Earth in a speck solar system in a speck galaxy. That doesn't make life's issues less pressing, but it does put them into perspective.

Why do you not do the things you want to do?

The day-in-and-day-out struggle for motivation and energy to do difficult and confusing tasks can be hard.

Why are you doing this?

The answer should always be that the benefits outweigh the costs.

Different mindsets make us view the costs and benefits subjectively.

I am not my past self, nor is my future self my present.

We are collected through related memories and patterns, and often we desire the same things, but we are different, and we don't have the same attitudes and outlooks, perhaps.

Why am I doing this?

I enjoy looking over the ideas of my past self, and it's interesting to think through ideas in the present and devise strategies for the future.

Relinquish the idea and concept of a master plan.

Be as the wise who lean into challenges, not the foolish who try to shirk them and kick them down the road.

Hard work for long hours is a key.

Why are you doing this?

To be better.

To change the environment to suit your ideas.

May it really be said that the lion is worth more than the antelope, or the antelope more than the grass?

Make everything fun.

Put your heart and soul, your body and mind, into your action.

Zest is the fuel of goodness.

Productivity lights fires.

What is it you do not have that you wish you did?

You can always think clearer and deeper as well as see nearer and farther.

Why do it?

Because it's fun.

Lean into challenges.

Annoying Maintenance
ramble_ty11.4.20zm4d3s_nb_b

Where to start?

Why is it that I wait so long to do maintenance?

It's not really that bad, and it makes the rest of the time that much better.

There is a way to balance maintenance and growth.

There are only so many minutes in the day.

Why not do it?

Perhaps work can be divided into maintenance and growth.

Effective growth requires maintenance, but maintenance has diminishing returns.

Maybe there is an effective ratio, or a pattern that can be used.

Planning is part of maintenance, perhaps.

Review is maintenance, analyzing the past, perhaps.

Growth can be more fun, but the soil the mind grows in can be fertilized with maintenance.

Why are you not all you can be?

Is your inner animal holding you back, scared and easily bored?

Do the work, young being.

Make life interesting. That is the whole point, friend.

Existence is you.

Where should you start?

A question can be that there is so much opportunity that it can be hard to know the best.

Progress is most important, not the skill.

Every skill and pattern that is learned and embedded in the mind gives new insight to the rest.

Bury yesterday's defeats: They cannot hurt you anymore.

Stagnation is a moment-by-moment effect.

Perhaps there is no other way but growth and maintenance.

Perhaps think of growth as new experiences, and maintenance as repeated experiences that improve the new. Don't lose focus on both.

You are made of many moving parts, and can always and have always gotten better.

Fear Compass
ramble_ty11.4.21zm4d4s_nb_b

Fear can be a compass for what to do next.

There may be scary feelings for your animal, but some part of your human knows it's the right thing to do.

The unconscious is not made up of one thing: It can have many processes running at once.

Perhaps if the ego is tempted into nonaction, the unconscious will fill that niche.

Look at the world around you.

How can it be changed and made better?

You are not so special that you are immune to the tricks of nature.

Nature is crafty and patient.

Often once you're conquering the fear it loses its bite, like a dragon that breaks its teeth against armor.

Every fear gone is generations that never exist.

By facing a fear you show its foolish and simplistic nature.

Fear in the long run is not helpful. Fear crushes dreams without pity. Fear in the short run is haphazard.

Better to be calm and reasonable than upset.

There is always more to learn and create.

The most important thing is to enjoy the Now.

Focus on enjoying the present by cherishing the small things and you will put your heart into them and make them big.

Why have you not done that which your past self claimed was the most desirable thing?

Life is perhaps as simple as this: Figure out what you love, and do it.

Do not let the past obstruct the future.

You are here, and your purpose can be found.

What is there to do but create?

Never forget your humble beginnings.

Happiness Expectations
ramble_ty11.4.22zm4d5s_nb_b

Worry and doubt create unhappiness.

What are you doing to erase the compulsion to worry and doubt?

Are you meditating?

Are you creating new ideas?

Are you synthesizing interesting experiences?

Everything about you is irrelevant.

The future does not matter; what matters is that you are happy.

Everything is subject to change.

Stop living as if you'll die.

Time is irrelevant; only the pleasant memories and Now can be enjoyed.

Consider life as if a light: A floodlight illuminates many things, but only nearby, while a laser can melt metal.

Be the laser, have insight, and be stubborn.

Do you know what you want?

You want to be generous and philanthropic.

You want to be shocked and glad of your own ingenuity.

You want to always be making life better.

All noble things, but hardly specific, perhaps.

Keep expectations low to be happier.

Everything is perspective; happiness and melancholy are derived from the expectations of what will come, not what has come, perhaps.

Why are you sitting back?

Existential crises are shifts in perspective, and inherent to life.

Others' expectations of you are irrelevant.

When you find what you are, nothing anyone says will matter.

Stop worrying.

Stop doubting.

Every moment is fleeting; the future will be fleeting too. All your ideas about it are inconceivably inaccurate.

You are you, and that is all you can be.

Start thinking about what really matters to you: relations and creating.

It doesn't matter what happens or where you go, as long as you enjoy the journey.

What do you want to do?

How do you get that?

By starting now.

Life's Hard
ramble_ty11.4.23zm4d6s_nb_b

Living can be hard, but it is your creation, perhaps.

The challenges you accept, the errors you commit, the lessons you learn, are your own.

Existence is chemicals.

Be fascinated that life is possible.

You are stardust looking at the stars.

Religious grouping can indeed bring great joy and fulfillment. Surely it is better to understand the ultimate rather than the proximate cause, though? Perhaps it's enjoyed not because it's directly true but because ancestors benefited from it.

How do your days become filled?

Why are you tired by the end?

Is there a balance?

Can a person do all the things desired in a lifetime? Perhaps by living forever.

Do the days seem to run together?

Perhaps play in the morning and work at night.

I can't tell you what to do; I am not you.

Push your limits and you will grow past them.

Always change your being.

Situational Happiness
ramble_ty11.4.24zm4d7s_nb_b

Sometimes you can be more productive by getting out of draining relations than merely trying to be positive, which taxes your mental enjoyment.

The unconscious is like a great river with the ego a small boat on it. The river does what it wants.

The ego can plan, and redirect the river to more inviting waters with the engineers on board.

Never forget that you are mainly the river, not the boat.

The boat serves the river; it evolved to enlighten the river.

By radically shifting the river's location you shift the ecosystem of the river.

Oh how sweet the structure of mind.

What makes consciousness so opaque? Perhaps it's as if calling the ant mound one organism, when it should be understood and explained by its composing parts and the way they interact.

The tasks of nature are rarely clear except when done.

We don't ever know our quests; we find and redefine them, making ourselves fit for previously unfathomable challenges.

Time is on your side.

It is the daily life, the individual small deeds that become great.

Have you done your part in creating the life you want?

Life is a team effort.

All will be made clear to you when the time comes.

Find what you love and situate around it.

Everpresent Muse
ramble_ty11.4.25zm4d1s_nb_b

Perhaps the muse of creativity is always with you, but takes time to warm up before giving inspiration.

The pattern perhaps should be to put yourself in its light, not wait for it to randomly shine. The same holds true for many things.

The time will come when you must choose between distant opportunity and local stability. The distant yields more greatness.

There are always unforeseen costs, but also unseen benefits. Sometimes the grass really is greener.

The secret is in the details, and everything is details.

Any picture painted, any impression given, can always be taken both positively and negatively.

Perspective applies right and wrong; reality is too complex for simplistic labels.

Lower your expectations, and overcome challenges.

Take care of the little things and you will develop and conquer great things.

All of life is plastic and evolves.

All can be overcome.

You are as if the cypress or cardinal; as a primate you have a role to play. It is yours to discover, invent, and transmit.

Existence is a skill; you are the container.

Leave yourself open for luck.

Better yourself now.

Value Yourself
ramble_ty11.4.26zm4d2s_nb_b

If you cut me, do I not bleed?

If you joke, do I not laugh?

Then make me value myself.

I am good.

I am deserved.

Why is there a hole in my heart, telling me I need to be better?

Can I not create the blessings others need?

To view the ant hill and reflect upon the individual automaton ant is disheartening, perhaps, but look on the scale of one Earth among many planets and perhaps it is less so.

The desire to value yourself shows great understanding.

How can it be so simple, so easy? It can't, because every task is impossible without working tools.

A bacterium or ant colony or even dog cannot pick up a pen and express ponderings.

You are a fantastic machine of nature.

The fine muscles controlling the fingers, the bigger ones holding the arm and neck, the gut and lungs and heart, all working to keep moving, the amazing brain, with so many patterns and yet so compact it boggles the mind, all this with the pen and chair also designed, manufactured, shipped, and bought, living out days and days of life in various states of use before you came along.

The key is not to always struggle, but struggle in the right direction.

You are a cyclic, curving being.

Power brought on one problem will tear through it.

Why a wide beam when there is so much value to be gained by focusing yourself?

There is only that which you can do, but it is limited by reality, not belief.

There are levels to the nature of reality, and cycles within and between the levels.

There is always more that can be known.

Rising is your destiny, developing and creating value.

Look away from the sun; it will blind you to the smaller opportunities.

Micro-opportunities can be abounding in worth, yet are dismissed!

Ignorance is bliss.

Contentment requires challenges, perhaps with the knowledge they can be overcome.

The answer is in reality and your mind.

Do you see the human?

They sit upon the rock and desire to be the bird, free from worry, but they are mistaken.

The bird is bound by their unconscious.

The human can think of the future and plan.

The bird reacts, perhaps never worried by the long term, but with more fear more often.

Worry can be rejected.

Fear is basic, below the reasoning mind.

Science, Baby
ramble_ty11.4.27zm4d3s_nb_b

When it comes to thinking more about the station in life each occupies, are there not those who shut down and reject new ideas?

Might you also be affected by that, even if you try not to be?

It is impossible, perhaps, to construct a system complex enough to create that cannot also be free to destroy.

If help can be received, is there a specific way to encounter success rather than hostility?

How can you learn to know when to accept help and when not to?

It is amazing that the hand and brain and eyes are directly embedded in this reality, running on the same rules.

I am thankful for existence.

The world is amazing, and continues to become more amazing.

Recently I listed things I feel pressure to do.

It's eye-opening how much cruft builds up over time.

It's freeing to notice how little of it is really you.

Do as the kidneys do: Throw everything out and put back only the helpful.

There are so few things that are needed in life.

Vision and insight and growth are perhaps limited by your physical makeup, but what splendid makeup it is.

Refinement, diversity, complexity: It creates a wonderful animal.

Animals are one of the most creative things in the universe.

The animal has been augmented and become a contemplative creature.

You can create your way out of any box.

Hooray for inventiveness; boo to confinement.

Mind will not be chained.

Wicked Witch
ramble_ty11.4.28zm4d4s_nb_b

All have reasons for being the way they are.

Brains, choices made, surrounding cultures and family: all are based on reasons, perhaps.

People have specific events, memories, friends, thoughts, that make them who they are.

Is anyone really bad or good?

Others have lives just as rich and complex and thoughtful as yours. You're a normal person.

It's a freeing notion.

You can enjoy what you have instead of competing with imaginary specters.

There is nothing so powerful as the human mind. Even the animalistic tendencies, which can lead it down intriguing, seemingly useless paths, often have good reasons for existence.

What is it you want?

Helping others is a joy, sharing passion and good times.

Sometimes answering a question requires more experimentation.

Do what increases your options.

Lean into challenges.

There is an incremental step that can be made first.

What's Important
ramble_ty11.4.29zm4d5s_nb_b

The environment is influenced by your thoughts and actions.

Ambitions are built from the animal.

You care because you experience life.

When your suffering leads to a reduction of more suffering, suffer on.

Memories are editable.

The pain you experience can be forgotten. Do you remember the pain of your birth?

The more you treasure the small, the more treasure there is in the big.

The mind makes predictions of the future, yet nothing is exactly accurate.

Life is not routine.

Life is forever change.

Where are you?

You are here, and also nowhere.

You have so much.

Put pressure on the mind and it will strengthen.

Genius is skill.

Wisdom is experience.

Free your mind from doubt.

What is important is within.

Spirited Time
ramble_ty11.4.30zm4d6s_nb_b

Where does all the time does go?

It can seem to proceed faster and faster, no matter how close.

There will be a time when this period is seen as the dark ages of humanity's potential.

Your fate is in your stubbornness to reject apathy.

We will create the world. It cannot bear the weight of many minds pushing upon it, shaping it to their desires, yet the task is difficult and dirty.

Creating the map forms patterns and connections in the mind that you can benefit from.

How do you create the map?

See where you are. Chart the surrounding area.

Where are you?

I am on a planet with billions of humans, diverse life, climates, geography, cultures.

We have entered the information age, where data is produced on a grander and higher level.

We are discovering new things, answering difficult questions.

Why look only at yourself?

You live in the universe; you are composed of the universe.

We are projections of the past.

Progression is incremental, for various values of increment.

What is within you perhaps cannot be within another, nor their entire unspoken insight within you.

Maintain so that you can grow, but do not let maintenance nor growth impede each other.

Subjective Defeat
ramble_ty11.5.1zm4d7s_nb_b

It is not up to your enemies to declare you defeated, but your own willingness to cede.

A person is a special kind of machine, adapted for energy effectiveness and long-term success. The heart beats and brain thinks perhaps not accurately but robustly.

Never allow the choice of your situation be handed to someone incompetent.

Let go of the pretense of self-importance, and develop not for merely yourself, but all who influenced and will be influenced by you.

Think of the meal you have, the plants that give of themselves, the farmers, the packagers, the drivers. A new level emerges: manufacturers, teachers, artists.

We are created by each other.

It is a long blessing, a contemplation with power.

Death is the only real defeat, and then only if the life was in vain. All else is subjective, dependent on arbitrary ideals, matters of taste.

The journey is one of establishing balance, rectifying the past and living the present.

We all are average, simple, and unique, for differing values of each.

Reject self-superiority.

Do not be angry at others or depressed at yourself for not achieving what you envisioned you would.

Do not be as the bug flying against the glass of an open window, unable to realize the full picture and escape to freedom.

You love fun, true?

Paint an image in your mind of what fun is, and ponder how to implement it.

You are not magic; you are simple to some.

Why fight what is inevitable?

You do not want what others want, so why assume the reverse?

Difficulty can mean the project is worthy of attention.

The supposed fruitless actions of the past can be considered lessons.

Ponder your success and lean into challenges.

Life Plan
ramble_ty11.5.2zm4d1s_nb_b

What is your purpose?

Why are you here?

What useful things can be done with your life?

If it is true that a person cannot change what they are made of, being the environment they inhabit, what should you inhabit?

Perhaps all the things that mystify are in reality mundane, but that is amazing in itself.

All that surrounds has an enlightening story to tell. You do as well.

Why do something if it is not what should be done?

There is no challenge too great for you, and that mindset helps.

Understand the issue fully before locking yourself into a system.

There is much you can and will do, good that requires you to be done.

All the habits and tendencies you have built are full of reasons, but the reasons may be old now.

What is the point of an unexamined life?

You can't change the past. You can learn from it.

There is a reason for everything, not magical but natural.

You have faced numerous challenges, and surpassed them.

You have grown your world consistently and excitingly.

The future is brightening.

Do what matters: Enjoy the moment.

Chaotic Simplicity
ramble_ty11.5.3zm4d2s_nb_b

Whether the brain is or is not the way we will achieve artificial general intelligence, it is nonetheless an exciting and complicated machine.

Perhaps there is some math or program that runs wholely different from the electrochemical neural structure inside our heads, and I lean toward that being the case.

What is there that can be learned if the entire structure will not be completely used?

Complexity can perhaps be thought of like a sponge, soaking up water. The sponge has simple rules, and yet the pattern of its physical embodiment is perhaps random. It can be any which way, and it will still absorb water.

The challenge is extracting the elusive rules from the information, to separate the more-helpful from the less-helpful.

This can involve a multi-course strategy: Understand how rules can be built, and understand the mind to infer the used rules.

Understand the math and understand the biology.

The brain is one of the most complex machines on this planet. It has nearly 4 billion years of evolution behind it, but it is at its heart a physical object, not all that different from a rock. It is the patterns that can emerge, the changes that it can store and call upon that give it such amazing qualities.

It is a worthwhile quest to develop understanding, if not paving the way yourself, then clearing a small trail to make it easier for others.

Intentional Hubris
ramble_ty11.5.4zm4d3s_nb_b

You can find a way.

In your quest you will discover paths which have eluded you until now.

The path of knowledge is but lightly traveled on its furthest reaches. The time has come for a trail to be marked.

Intelligence is a fuzzy concept, as are all things. Who would want to spoil the surprise, the excitement, the esteem?

The quest against all odds, the challenge never before completed.

What is there to say for the humble quester, a young being with only unrelenting intuition that it is possible?

Perhaps you cannot jump from intuition to solution; it is almost never so simple.

The process of illumination can be like finding your way home when lost in the forest, with only a small light as your companion.

It can be done, it should be done, it will be done, but do not doubt for a moment that it is hard.

Such difficulty can embolden you to scratch and tear at the nut, shaving it with all the resources at your disposal, before attempting to crack it again.

You know there is a solution; this is not an unanswerable question.

The journey cannot be done alone, but neither is it always desirable to have a team.

The path is full of stops, where people join and exit.

Adapt, but remember the original aim.

The Wheel
ramble_ty11.5.5zm4d4s_nb_b

Take what already exists and adapt it for a new purpose.

Many things have been discovered, many errors erased with experience.

You are young, and skilled.

Keep your aims high and your expectations low.

Be emboldened by highlighting the joyous events that make it worthwhile.

It is never an impossible task.

"I couldn't do it, up until now!"

We are more powerful together than alone, especially when we each understand why.

You don't need vast numbers; you need ideas that all pull in the same direction.

Have faith, a powerful feeling of intuition that you will look back and smile a knowing smile, hindsight a blessing.

Do not forget that from this side it appears as if an untrackable foe, hidden in the forest with few clues.

Do not forsake your purpose; keep your eyes firmly on that, so that you may continue ever onward.

Do what you value, so that you may value yourself.

No expectations, yet set your sights with high aims.

Enjoy the present.

Humbling Purpose
ramble_ty11.5.6zm4d5s_nb_b

Does life have a cosmic punchline?

Is it a sea of coincidences, an accident of nature?

Is it a computation on a higher-order dimension?

If you look in the mirror and cannot answer "yes" to "I love my life" for too many days in a row, something needs to change.

You can rise above the mundane and create genuine experience.

There are mental trappings of modern life: What are you doing to evade them?

Nothing is important except that which you make so.

The future is made better by savoring the moment.

The patterns in nature deserve an explanation.

You grow stronger under pressure.

What do you dream of?

Slow Down
ramble_ty11.5.7zm4d6s_nb_b

There are more things that benefit from slowing than quickening, perhaps.

"Make speed, not haste."

Point in the direction that your highest-self desires.

It is difficult to strain the muscles against the load, yet that is what builds them.

Can you see the creature you were, are, and might be? Are they a worthy complement to nature?

Sometimes the brain acquires rose-colored glasses about the world and dismisses that it is wearing them.

A faulty instrument can think everything else is faulty; the perception affects that reaction.

What do you want an epitaph to say?

"Here is a person who desired to help others, enriching and enlightening them so that they would do the same for others."

Can it be said that you are a prisoner, chained to your past?

You are expanded, not simply constrained.

The future has no hold like the past does, and given self-cognition, you can rise above the situation previously accepted as _the_ situation.

Seek out change; integrate it into your personality.

Evolve or die trying.

You are not your environment; the environment is you.

Complaining raises the issue; it does not solve it.

Do not fear the taunt of death's grasp; it will come when it should, and no sooner.

Death is a simple thing; nothing afterward can matter, so make everything beforehand matter.

The size of your brain may not yet be directly modifiable; stop worrying about the unfulfilled tasks.

"If you have 2 beans, you plant 2 beans. You don't wait for a whole bag of beans. Worry about what you can do, not what you can't."

You are a benefit to reality.

Proceed forth and create justice.

Penny-Wise
ramble_ty11.5.8zm4d7s_nb_b

Structure can tend to grow, and then dominate the fun, rather than the fun dominating the structure.

It can be hard to realize that the universe can be mundane, miraculous, and fantastic.

It's fascinating how diverse the public is.

Nature is probably all a simulation.

Devil Details
ramble_ty11.5.9zm4d1s_nb_b

A question of tasks, besides the work itself, can be the prioritization of them.

Removing features can make something better.

Some say we are all dead in the long run, but I tend to think we should live in it; the medium term seems the place of hard existence.

Memories reach far back, aspirations far forward.

It all works out, or if it doesn't then it doesn't matter.

Human existence quickly forces down or raises up human expectations, and expectations are a major component of happiness.

Continued improvement can be what you value. If you have that, the future is brighter, the world bigger, and you better.

You are a creature, not fundamentally different from a bird or dog.

Life is extraordinarily complex, sophisticated, delineated.

Not much is actually known, compared to what could be.

It is easy to assume we have vast stores of knowledge, but what we don't know, and what we don't know we don't know, overshadows what we do.

Know the rules so you can break them for effect.

Keep yourself charged; do not always give into the details of work.

Step back: Keep the long run in mind.

Focus on the long run.

Starting Right
ramble_ty11.5.10zm4d2s_nb_b

How can you start this day better?

There can be a sizable group of neurons vying to prevent action, due to fear or comfort-zone.

The surrounding environment creates your perception of yourself.

If you are on a movie set with thousands of others in costumes, it is much easier to fall into that role. It is just the same with the clothes you wear and the people you are with now.

Animals often tell where they are in the food chain by how they look and how others look at them.

Learning where to focus is also a project, perhaps the most crucial.

You are your surroundings and there are no rules, so if they aren't perfect, change them.

Action is growth.

Basically Good
ramble_ty11.5.11zm4d3s_nb_b

I tend to think that most animals are basically good, honorable creatures, unwilling to wantonly inflict damage on others.

Is this a reflection of myself, or is reality really this way?

A raptor does not hesitate to kill a mouse; is this important, or would the mouse in the hawk's position not hesitate either?

You do not construct yourself; the environment's situations do that for you.

The challenge of life is to find what situations bring out the best, most noble aspects, and align all your effort and will and power toward implementing and living in those situations.

You may not know what to do, but know that you can find out.

The information is there; seek it out.

It is a long, hard road, but the alternative is to fall to the wayside, to succumb to death and sloth and misfortune and failure.

You must build yourself up.

Remember where you come from. It's a distant place.

Every step brings you closer if you are pointed in the right direction.

Calm Demeanor
ramble_ty11.5.12zm4d4s_nb_b

If you died now it still would have been worth it.

Today is a new day, free from the chains of the past and the obligations of the future.

If you don't want to do something, then don't. If you do, but don't know which course of action, go with your gut. Start the first thing it says, and see if that puts you on a righteous path.

Remember to be thankful for every minute you experience, for the friends, food, shelter, and advanced technological age.

Be thankful that there are others that can defeat you in games, gab, and reason.

Life, too easy, is boring.

There is no sense in fearing your progress is too slow; just go.

Unique Goals
ramble_ty11.5.13zm4d5s_nb_b

No one else is like you.

No one else shares your dreams, desires, aspirations, at least not exactly.

There is perhaps no true distinction between sexes, or races, or cultures, at least in so far as there is as much diversity inside as between.

What you find important doesn't have to stay that way, but it can give a sense of a value while you believe in it.

Is there a stake in your future that you think will provide more value to yourself and the world?

In so far as you have given insight to others that they were missing, you are a genius.

In so far as you have brought forth emotion with your creations, you are an artist.

Be as if an elastic band, stretching and warping matter to suit your grander purpose.

Why be afraid of what others think, when they are concerned with themselves?

Figure out what you want. Go after it.

The quest away from ignorance never ceases.

Happy Work
ramble_ty11.5.14zm4d6s_nb_b

Work is hard, but sloth is work.

The day can be filled with action that tires the muscles but yields fruit, or fruit-eating activities. The fruit will be quickly gone in the latter, but yield more in the former.

None can tell you what you should do.

It takes time and effort to become better.

Rome wasn't built in a century.

Do not expect to flip from unsatisfied to satisfied in a short time.

The choice is not between any particular thing. The hard choice is the decision to act.

Act, breath life into your creations, set them adrift in the universe, among other humans.

The decision is not what to do, but whether to do at all.

Do not stand by and accept the mundane.

You are magnificent.

There is much to admire.

You are a gradient of energy and matter, and creation is never done.

Limitless Potential
ramble_ty11.5.15zm4d7s_nb_b

At any given moment there are countless opportunities available to you, from the mundane and trivial to the life changing.

The choice is to promote the best and highest quality, or to allow mediocrity.

Elegance is rewarded by allowing deeper thoughts.

The irksome nature of errors muddies the great abyss of the knowledge of creation, and the more you remove errors, the closer you get to eternal beauty.

Elegance has many forms.

Novelty is crucial to developing greater powers of concentration.

There is a hidden spark within you that can be used to power creativity to shores you have never seen before.

The perfect storm of amplified joining of disparate yet related notions: it may rarely strike.

Why is the task of optimizing potential so eerily inconclusive?

If nature is simulated, not for particular enjoyment but for a worthwhile inquiry, why suppose it would not be eerie?

The unknown is not known quickly. It is out there, doing its own thing, not minding your travels through its space. It is like a hand grasping in the dark for the answers.

The more difficult the question, the longer and more challenging the grasp you will need.

Why suppose life is inconclusive?

If you are a character in a story, the entire story can seem inconclusive until the end.

Do what you feel is right.

Keep on keeping on.

Beginning Eternal
ramble_ty11.5.16zm4d1s_nb_b

Perhaps one of the hardest challenges of life is the unsuredness over its length.

Perhaps not.

Imagine a life lived from now to eternity.

Imagine from now to a hundred years.

Creative computation will be discovered, and with that the possibilities become harder to predict.

Will you be simulated in a digital universe?

If there is a pattern to create intelligence, understanding mathematics does not hide it.

Where are the doors that are open to you?

It can seem like the water is still, now. It will be picked up, soon. You will make it stir.

Do not be afraid to have your kin think you wrong, but think through what you need, most of all.

Are you happy?

Create to be happy.

Idea Soup
ramble_ty11.5.17zm4d2s_nb_b

Ideas are promiscuous little beings, ever eager to bond and replicate with other ideas, giving rise to new generations.

Ideas never die; so long as the inception still exists on earth, they will rise again, at least in spirit.

What ideas do you have?

You want to end aggression, bring peace to civilization, use technology to enable greater happiness.

All these ideas blend together, feeding off one another and producing a unique, helpful combination.

A great deal of learning is unlearning.

Where do you feel called to go, to learn, to know?

Life is an expression of a higher-dimensional field. Embrace it and understand the benefits.

What fears are within you?

Does the future excite you?

"You are what you repeatedly do."

You are not a failure, so long as you draw breath.

Your place is among ideas.

How do you learn what you need to?

First study yourself.

It is difficult but important to craft and refine your notions of yourself.

The better you understand how you will be when older, the happier you will be.

Joy comes through time; it cannot be forced upon you.

Where do you stand in your path?

Your path is none but yours. Own it, seek it out.

The pursuit of happiness is never easy, yet perspective is everything.

Think of the family you enjoy, the contentment from the observation of nature.

You have learned to stand, now learn to look, and walk.

Self Contained
ramble_ty11.5.18zm4d3s_nb_b

The things that you produce are linked irrevocably to who you are, what you've experienced and thought. From that you can create an actor within yourself, and they can have their own experiences and thoughts that you give them.

You likely have many actors, many roles in your mind; none are you, because you are above them.

You still paint a picture, but you've done it with your components.

Your idea of self is an actor; they play the role they were given by you.

You weave the web of consistency for your future self. Things you say that "of course" you would say.

Step back for a moment; remove yourself, your experiences from the picture.

Do not be embarrassed. Ignorance is less embarrassing than fake knowledge.

Introspection is fruitful. It yields dividends to all of life, rather than one or two small areas.

Where do you begin?

How do you structure the process?

Challenge yourself to discover yourself.

Sit forward and think.

Express yourself.

Permanent Practice
ramble_ty11.5.19zm4d4s_nb_b

It can be said that practice makes permanent. It whittles out the wrong until only right is left.

When learning from scratch, you must be exposed to novel experiences.

Perfect order is stagnant; chaos is required to set off forgotten memories and generate novel creativity.

Will the process resemble the human animal pattern?

Perhaps it is dependent on how minds actually work, what the math is that makes them tick.

There may very likely be more than one way to structure a mind, and some may very well be better than others.

Perhaps a problem cannot be solved with the same level of thinking that created it.

What level of thinking leads to the question of generating minds?

Step back and think of generating creativity rather than strictly minds. Imagine a program that stimulates lateral thinking, answering questions in a different way. The program can be joined with humans, and facilitates greater thinking.

Perhaps the answer with generating minds is not with better models of the brain or life or the universe, but with learning and processing information. The mind's substrate should facilitate that, not try to replicate multi-million year old processors from animals.

If learning is really what's crucial, and minds are more a process based on that learning, that is what should be focused upon.

Learn about learning.

Evaluate Yourself
ramble_ty11.5.20zm4d5s_nb_b

Every failure has the seed of success, and that seed can be grown through effort.

The mind is more than just the conscious.

The mind has so many factors feeding into it that do not rise to the surface, but still affect the ocean.

Where are you?

The imagination is powerful. The powers of observation are imagination.

We read into things, even when the simple is all that truly is, or we ignore the sophistication, the subtleties, in favor of tropes.

Life is not simple, not for humans.

Imagine how you perceive the ant.

If you can understand the ant, could not a supreme being understand you as well?

If your task was to educate the ant, enable them to prosper, mere speech would be insufficient.

An ant cannot understand what you can. As such, you cannot understand a supreme being.

If it told you the secrets of life, you could not comprehend, not now, not at the level you are now.

You must achieve higher and higher levels of competency, greater levels of perception and experience and thought.

What scares an ant does not scare you.

What scares you does not scare a god.

As an ant, you can barely comprehend yourself, much less all of reality and the levels above.

As a human, you are not that much higher than the ant, so could you really perceive a god?

Do you care for the ant? Likely you wish it no harm, but what harm would you prevent to come to it?

Do you love the individual ant?

Do you believe a god loves you?

Can it be said what is nature and what is miracle?

If the ant and you are of the same physical reality, yet you understand the physics better, do you not appear to be a miracle generator?

If a god does not directly intervene in a way that is perceptible to the subject, like placing food on the field for ants, how can the subject delineate miracle from nature?

Situational Change
ramble_ty11.5.21zm4d6s_nb_b

When the forces shift their order, it is time to respond and adapt.

What are you but adaptable?

The effort you have been putting into yourself is well appreciated.

Don't pull the flowers up to check the roots.

Find the balance between consistency and burnout.

It's hard to see and understand from inside, but you have much to offer others, even purely as an output of lovingkindness.

Do you love yourself?

Understand another's worldview and desires, and try and satisfy that, rather than applying your desires on them.

Different people are different.

People are fascinating and interesting.

The young can play with blocks, the imagination is so powerful.

Enjoy the experience like a child.

Question your reality and biases. How do you effectively do that? It comes from your level of understanding and building from it, engaging your imagination and desires.

Focus on your mission in life, study that, understand where you are to go.

A compass can be more helpful than a map.

Share with yourself your true aims.

There's no pressure---you create it.

In nature you gain insight, from yourself you establish a path, and with your actions you carry it out.

Reject Misconceptions
ramble_ty11.5.22zm4d7s_nb_b

You are what you are.

You are what you actually do.

What do you want to do?

I want to be friends.

I want to help.

I want others to find meaning and worthiness in my existence, and me in theirs.

I want to understand them; I want to help them want to be better.

I want those who want to learn be the most successful they can be.

Success has a different definition for each person.

Like a car on a road trip at night, the headlights might only shine a hundred feet, but that can become hundreds of miles over time.

Communication is one of the most important skills in life. Improving it is one of the most productive things you can do.

Communication is a skill, and one worthy of your dedication.

Inspiration is much more valuable than raw domain-specific knowledge.

Target all and you miss; target one and you hit.

Inner Core
ramble_ty11.5.23zm4d1s_nb_b

When your current actions line up with the principles that make you up, there is unity and strength.

When they are misaligned, when you are confused as to what the most necessary is, then unhappiness, frustration, doubt, and fear can abound.

The mind has a much larger scope than the memories that you tend to access on a daily basis.

You have memories from when you were very young. How much do you think they impact you?

The memories have been interpreted and reinterpreted, stored and restored, changed by ongoing perspectives. As the basis of other memories, from them a framework for life is built, a framework of what's enjoyable, what's fun, what's helpful.

Studying yourself helps you understand others better.

You have untapped potential.

There is always more to learn and do and experience. At the same time, this day may be your last, so live like so.

The hurt of yesterday and the worry of tomorrow cannot replace the perfect joy of today.

It has to be worked at, but as you push the boundaries, the boundaries recede.

Your comfort zone is plastic.

In the case of alignment, where do you want your compass to point?

Are you using your time effectively?

Are you learning skills and crafting relationships with those skills?

The world is ever-changing: Reap it now, invest, and learn more.

Create the answers you wish to see spread.

Understand yourself and your inner desires, the memories of being young. In that is the framework of your map of the world.

Make Opportunities
ramble_ty11.5.24zm4d2s_nb_b

The trick of creating is to do it, to make what was not there before.

Don't give into the errors of history.

Craft a new creative path through the wilderness.

What are the principles you believe in?

Believe in that which causes you to value yourself.

All humans have knowledge and wisdom. Even the simplest child can bring new light.

Where is your place in the sphere of human creation?

One person can make a difference.

How can the skill of self-mastery be developed?

A proactive person can be considered unreasonable: They aim not to shake the boat for itself, but for a grander, nobler purpose, that others may not see or agree with.

Visualization of the end, understanding the aim, the life purpose, shapes the process to get there.

If a technique is rusty, sharpening it can be most productive.

The tasks of today are helpfully completed today, but the tasks of tomorrow are not today's. You could give everything today and have nothing for tomorrow. What would be the point?

The unurgent, important tasks do not call for attention, but they can have the most long-term impact.

What can you do to make a decade from now better? Occupy your mind with what it is, and work for it.

Keep the confidence.

Earned History
ramble_ty11.5.25zm4d3s_nb_b

All you create builds character, passion, worth.

You make history.

What you do is important.

The road is as yet mountainy, undeveloped. It is being refined every day by your persistence, your stubbornness to keep going.

Grow with sincere communication over many days.

It is concern, empathy, understanding that allows psychological air; it is rephrasing content and reflecting emotion.

What are you concerned with?

Why are you concerned with productivity?

Effort compounds.

Understand yourself.

Trust your heart.

Self Reliance
ramble_ty11.5.26zm4d4s_nb_b

What should you do?

At heart, what are you?

Look at a picture of yourself, what do you see?

Do not be untrue to yourself.

What would a genuine person do?

Is work hard? Of course, yes, but sloth is harder.

Idleness wears down faster than productiveness.

Where do you want to go?

What do you love?

Productive Sleep
ramble_ty11.5.27zm4d5s_nb_b

Do you remember the cardinal rule? Sleep. Relax. Cool off.

The frustrations of the day can build off each other, magnifying the pain and wearing down the will to be kind, cheerful, effective.

The next moment you feel impinged upon, exit.

Every day of life is important.

Dissuade the insufferable through your absence.

There will come a time when someone will try to put off work, citing something routine but supposedly more important. Either deny them the evasion, or confront their disinclination toward the effort.

The test of a person is not when others are observing, but when they are not.

You can find a way to live. Your way will be different, but different is not worse.

Every day your mind and emotions become more nuanced.

The problems of yesterday are yesterday's, today's are today's, and tomorrow's problems depend on how well you embrace and overcome today's.

Misconceptions of life can build up, reducing it in sophistication and beauty.

One of the greatest skills in life is communication.

Nature is wonderful because it retunes and recalibrates your priorities in life.

You are not a simple creature. When you are unsatisfied there is no simple fix.

It is a hard thing to start, to understand the field well enough to know which direction to go, but it is vitally important to understand yourself.

Mind Visualization
ramble_ty11.5.28zm4d6s_nb_b

The process of visualizing, building up from the parts and filling in from the whole, generates a new kind of awareness, one based on genuine hard work and concentration.

Where does it lead?

When communicating, effort is spent on sharing the relevant points, in order to create new ideas in the receiver.

Without the habit of visualization, your own mind doesn't have an effective grasp on the problem in the first place, so it can't be as precisely communicated.

Visualization can be a way to work through problems, opening them up bit by bit and understanding new patterns. This type of concentration can be supremely difficult. There is little structure to the idea, so it can iterate at untold speeds, but there can be a tendency to have mental diversions.

Focus is a skill.

Building up the skill of concentration should be viewed as a lifelong process. There is no limit and you are always getting better at it.

The challenge to you is to visualize a mind. See every component, process, level, and system.

Time invested in contemplation of the necessities for a mind is effectively used.

Allow yourself to be convinced of the possibility of success, the sureness of success, given enough thought and hard work.

The mystery will reveal itself when your thoughts seek it.

"Begin with the end in mind."

Have faith in yourself to solve the problem.

"Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly."

When you invest moments visualizing, your courage to proceed grows.

Mindpower is a most precious resource, and when exerted, the skill grows.

The solution is not "out there".

The solution is in your mind.

Tempt the mystery to reveal itself: Persist in hope of finding clues.

Exert your mind.

Repeated Stillness
ramble_ty11.5.29zm4d7s_nb_b

Perhaps the stillness of the mind is like the stillness of atoms---they are always moving to some degree.

How do the perceptual disturbances produced by lack of sleep relate?

It's not merely as if the mind is slower; it's also that it can stall midthought, like focus is severely inhibited.

Rest and sleep are crucial to functioning well.

Two extra hours dedicated to sleep rather than concentration can boost overall concentration.

Hard work focuses on caring for the golden goose, not just collecting her eggs.

How do you train the mind to be still and visualize?

Go through the initial pain, understand the procedure itself, and repeatedly complete it.

What better way, what easier way, to accomplish change and success, than visualizing the steps along the way?

The pattern in the mind is altered every time it is recalled.

You cannot observe without influencing. It is not destroyed, but interpreted and built up in a new way.

No signal can transmit without changing something.

Moods fundamentally restrict perceptions of experiences. It's as if one level of consciousness dictates what another level can experience.

The mind is a processor of data. Every level of it is data, too. The bottom level cares not about the workings of the top; the bottom proceeds according to rigorous principles.

How does the grand come from the mundane?

The great is composed of the small.

Attempt the impossible, because every day fewer things are so.

Observe your mind.

True Sentence
ramble_ty11.5.30zm4d1s_nb_b

Many are confused. The wise recognize it; the foolish hide it.

How are you in this picture?

You perhaps recognize your own confusion, but not that others are just as confused.

Just as you are not a cardboard cutout, neither are they. Appeal to them, their sense of being.

Where do you stand in this, Mystery?

How do we appeal to you?

How can we struggle to understand the human to the ant?

The vast majority cannot be understood.

Do you believe Mystery is kind?

If you are kind to the ant, why not assume Mystery is kind to you?

Inside there can be aches to understand.

Can there ever be understanding in a world such as this?

It can be as if every nook you explore sheds light on others, but also on the general complexity of existence.

Let me see something, O Mystery, and I am more in awe, and still perhaps confused.

What does Mystery want with you?

Will you ever know?

Is it your time? If not, you should plod along as best you know how.

Mystery can reveal to you that which needs revealing.

Can there be trust without evidence?

At what point do you throw up your hands and say you don't know?

If there is no reason, no Mystery, does agnosticism benefit you?

Does trust in reality permeate your own being, so that by giving up you reach into deeper levels of yourself?

Mystery, you know where I am.

You know what I need.

You know what everyone needs.

It's grand to trust in you, but I don't want to mistrust.

You know that, but I know your perspective is much grander than mine, so I will reserve a place for you in my mind.

Mystery is the artist; we are the art.

We cannot trust you more than you give.

Mystery Within
ramble_ty11.5.31zm4d2s_nb_b

Perhaps the trick of life is changing the phrasing of yourself and viewing your experiences in a new light.

Things are the way they are; perhaps they would not settle in a different pattern.

Perhaps if Mystery could choose to be known or not, it could not be forced to reveal itself, any more than we must interfere with an ant.

Perhaps with comfort comes stagnation.

Comfort is unsuited to adaptation, yet that is precisely what learning is, perhaps: adaptation.

Who would you rather trust: your grand self, or an interpretation of the self that others want?

The confident self breeds passion, intrigue.

The path ahead contains the wealth of time.

Remember the concept of the golden moment passing through the stream of life while we stare at the sand.

Strong Belief
ramble_ty11.6.2zm4d4s_nb_b

You can have a gut of stubbornness.

There can be no crushing the belief in creativity and creation.

Within you, as in all of us, there is goodness that seeks to replicate, to shine light onto the misunderstood.

Is this a mere belief? Does it have validity?

That which you promote you receive.

Habits are shortcuts to achieving something you want.

Habits are patterns of history, and the goodness you relish, the niceties you desire, are cultivated one seed at a time.

We put down ourselves to lift others up so they can reach ledges above. From there, we hope they have the strength to pull themselves up, then reach down and lift us up in turn.

Could this world be more interesting?

How can you be bored if you can think?

Questions never run out: For every door opened, another ten wait behind it.

Luck is in the eye of the beholder.

Life Thought
ramble_ty11.6.3zm4d5s_nb_b

What do you want from life?

I want to be interested, surprised.

I want others to love, and children to love.

I want to be thought a good person, productive and effective and kind.

I want to be humble, and impressive.

I want someone to love life with, who will help bring out my best qualities.

I want to put all my effort into the important things, and none in the useless.

I want to improve, grow, create more than I expect or is expected of me.

I want to experience limitless joy.

I want to thank those who appreciate me, and guide me.

I want to understand the world as it is, not as I think it to be.

I want to be friends with artificial intelligences.

I want to ignore the extraneous.

I want to embrace the essential.

I want to be me.

Envision Work
ramble_ty11.6.9zm4d4s_nb_b

Why is it difficult to envision what to work on?

It can be easier to take in more information, but it can paralyze.

It has been said life is an experiment, and the more you do the better.

There can be pain, annoyance, struggle, yet it will not be remembered the next day, but the absence of work will show it.

There can be invisible spectacles, reshaping the content of nature. They cannot be taken off; you must learn and train to process as if they aren't there, to undistort the image.

Grow more aware of Mystery, the absolute power in control.

How can I, as a 20-year-old human of average intelligence and health, leave a legacy of vast stores of helpful information?

Expect to be who you are.

By being genuine you are rescued.

Appreciate genuineness, in others as well as yourself.

I want to be honest, positive, and genuine.

Giving up the desire for control actually lets you steer more effectively.

Keep in mind the cardinal rule: Sleep. Relax. Cool off.

I look at the world around me, the life, the artifacts.

I am astounded.

I am surprised.

I am intrigued.

The more genuine you are, the faster you will learn.

The sculptors in the mind are vastly more elaborate than those in the physical realm.

They can rapidly update; they are amorphous; what doesn't help is thrown out and what does help is kept. It's like rapid natural selection.

It can be a beauty of programming, rapidly updating pure memory.

It's valuable to visualize; even if only during those few minutes it is a welcome relief from the rest of existence, with all its uncertainty.

Simple Being
ramble_ty11.6.10zm4d5s_nb_b

Are you a simple being?

With a certain perspective, just as the ant is simple to us.

Minds think in cycles, and the current cycle influences the feelings toward the rest.

What does it mean to be human?

Is it emotion that gives life meaning, or thoughts?

Perhaps there is a need for the animal's emotion to fulfill the longing for meaning.

In what ways are you not allowing the animal to breathe free?

Through use of your facilities you get stronger, more adept at creation and discovery.

You can improve through genuine complexity.

The powers that be reward ingenuity, but always be what you are.

Being genuine will outlast all fakery.

Do what you are meant to do.

You get better by trying.

Limited Insight
ramble_ty11.6.12zm4d7s_nb_b

The thunderstorm is loud, yet also provides water for life.

The rational mind should be a tool for your bigger mind, your feelings and loves.

Your mind is bigger than any particular rational thought, which change and shift based on inputs.

You can become more Now-minded, live more in the moment and enjoy the good.

Do not be ashamed of who you are, nor shame others for who they are.

Imagine wind art that is hanging, with four spirals that connect at the base, with four in the center of that. They spin freely in counter directions. Watching the two-dimensional shadow is confusing, the alternating spinning.

The higher-dimensional Mystery can perhaps be as confusing to a limited insight.

Chilled Sleep
ramble_ty11.6.17zm4d5s_nb_b

It is an astounding world you live in, truly.

The world becomes more astounding the more you advance in it, as the mysteries become separated from the knowable.

What is hard about life?

The hard work is not the technical knowledge; it is the work of becoming impassioned, of becoming motivated to complete the hard work.

What is it about concentration that is difficult?

Why should bringing one idea to mind and carefully, thoroughly, systematically working through it be difficult?

Perhaps the best tools for doing this task of concentration have not yet been discovered and implemented.

Memory perhaps is developed for seeing patterns and making predictions, and not yet adept at keeping many things in consciousness at one time. The design of a tool could be based on easing the trouble of seeing patterns.

Humans are multisensory creatures; tools of creation should reflect that.

Getting knowledge into the mind is one task; getting it out, accessible, and in a usable format is another.

You can do much if your mind is kept on one idea for a period of time.

Connections will appear by walking down the path.

How do you stay with the idea you are motivated to understand?

Take stock of yourself, what you really want, why you want it, and why you will get it.

In the case of computational intelligence, why do you want it?

For me, so I will not die, so I will value myself, so I can enjoy living in a fantastic world.

Why do I want to not die? I have fun here; I enjoy life and creating.

Why do I want to value myself? I don't want to let others down. I want to see what a humble person can do if inspired.

Why do I want a fantastic world? Because there are so many interesting things.

The mystery of the process will be revealed in time. Have no doubt.

Raise your voice to strengthen your confidence.

Candle Wax
ramble_ty11.7.2zm4d6s_nb_b

As an ape's goals are seen through by the human, so the human's goals are seen through by the superhuman.

The superhuman perhaps views it all as trivial, desiring riches and family.

The superhuman sees the strife we create and embrace and allow into our lives, and sees the reluctance to become better.

Is it possible to conceive of what the superhuman sees as dear? Is it joy or truth or love?

If the human views ape activities with less meaning, that can be abstracted.

What activities shed light on the human's wishes?

Through ape, human, and superhuman, the common thread is animal, and a pattern is the holding of longer and longer time scales.

The ape cares about themself, their family, their group.

The human cares about larger ideals, principles.

The superhuman has such long time scales in mind that they care about the life on this planet, in other galaxies, the justice that should reign.

Embrace the fact that these aspects of life embrace the warmth of emotion.

The emotion is not lessened in the superhuman; it is elevated, understood, and helpful.

Emotion gives reason purpose. Without emotion, no path can be chosen.

Reason cannot decide what path to take without emotion giving an aim to achieve on the path.

Where the human and ape embrace shallow pleasures, what does the superhuman do?

As long as they do not dull the long-term outlook, perhaps there is compatibility; where they dull, they should be cast out as the attributes of beasts.

You need not idolize origins.

You can view a grander world, creating the future step by step.

Upset Versus Excited
ramble_ty11.7.31zm4d7s_nb_b

Dearest friend of consciousness, I request your guidance in what upsets and excites me. They are similar emotions; there is passion behind both.

What upsets you?

Abuse of one for the short-sighted gain of another.

Contradictory ideas of rulers.

I'm upset when someone comes at me with unconsidered ideas as if a snake wishing to ensnare me for their benefit.

Lack of control, pain and suffering and terribleness.

The point when I feel like I'm letting someone down, even if I am incapable of helping them.

I'm upset when I feel placed in a situation with no way out, only terrible roads before me.

What is exciting to you?

Anticipating a better future, full of interesting people, technology, and creativity.

I'm excited when I sit down with something in mind to create and I create it.

I'm excited when I consider how much life has changed and improved, how the experiences have enlivened it.

I'm excited about helping the world and understanding myself.

I'm excited about Mystery and the divine plans to our ends.

I'm excited about helping others, humanity, life itself prosper.

I'm excited about having people to love, and who love me.

I'm excited about the skills I am developing, the long-term sustainable systems being embraced.

I'm excited when I look at the intricateness of nature and it looks back.

I'm excited that I am developing mindfulness, and that I'm enjoying the Now.

I'm excited when I consider the good and bad of this moment shall pass too.

I'm excited when I feel rested and awesome, when I have something great to do today.

I'm excited when I think of my good points and how they have brought me to good places in my life.

What excites me?

Creativity excites me.

Collaboration excites me.

The warmth of the sun and the cool of the rain are so exciting and beautiful.

Seeing an idea come together, seeing a plan be massaged into reality is exciting.

Seeing how much human communication has improved in my lifetime, and how long humans have lived in comparison.

I'm excited about living on the brink, the pinnacle, the cliff above which unknown fun will be had.

I'm excited about helping people.

I'm excited about life.

Personal Fears
ramble_ty11.8.1zm4d1s_nb_b

O muse all around, please help us open up.

What do we fear, O Self?

I fear being placed in uncomfortable social situations, even with the knowledge that it too shall pass.

What brings the fear sensor to overdrive?

Do you fear death?

For me, less death than the idea that I will not have made a positive difference.

Do you fear old age?

Is it wrong to believe that it will be cured before you reach it?

Do you fear success?

I sometimes fear the unknown, and in that sense success can be scary.

Do you fear illness?

To the extent that it incapacitates my mind and enjoyment of life I harbor uneasiness toward it, but I have yet to go down for the count, so I remain sanguine.

Do you fear embarrassment?

It is perhaps the ancient feeling that if you do something wrong, your tribe will disown you and you will die alone. It's a primordial fear, not one of reasoning.

If you feel embarrassed, realize it's because it used to mean you could be kicked out of the tribe, yet now it means very little.

Art Is Where the Heart Is
ramble_ty11.8.2zm4d2s_nb_b

O muse, wise teacher of reality, please guide my thoughts today as I speak of that art which moves me.

I like art that is positive, showing the good in humanity and life.

I like when art uses humor to deftly explain some of the deeper mysteries and jokes of humanity.

I like when I look on a painting and I feel drawn in to study it.

I like when I perceive layers upon layers of meaning; to me this is reminiscent of the mind itself.

Puns and the wit they require are full of enlightenment about the relationship we have with the world. I like intricate art for this reason.

Art which promotes the finer beauties of life, the vivid nature of reality, I like that.

By giving your heart and becoming personal, you can more deeply affect another's heart. The same applies for your present self and future self.

When you give your heart, life becomes richer and better.

If the purpose of money is to get things which bring happiness, so much better for art, which is often free.

My favorite art is that in which the heart is pure and free and it inspires and emboldens the hearts of other people.

Integrity Choice
ramble_ty11.8.3zm4d3s_nb_b

O great muse of wisdom and Nature, please help me now as I think of integrity within myself.

If integrity is wholeness and truth, should you not desire to hold it within you?

With rattlesnake parents, the result is a rattlesnake, and so we can neither fault nor praise them.

See a person as where they are, not who they are.

You are the environment.

It is impossible after a lifetime of actions to spontaneously be a master in a different field; so it is with integrity of self and purpose.

When you truly align with the desires of your heart, you can be free.

Cast out notions of fear and doubt and embarrassment and unworthiness.

It is not the short term in which you live, but the long. Every hope and dream and worry and fear is in the long term, yet so few fears and worries compared to hopes and dreams.

The bad can suffer no great injustice to the good in so long a time frame, because the cumulative effects overcome all evil in so great a period.

Do you want to have integrity?

You can have integrity by accepting that parts of your current being, the principles you have now, are incorrect, inconsistent, and incomplete.

Brotherly Love
ramble_ty11.8.4zm4d4s_nb_b

Eagerness to appreciate the subtle pleasures of art and feeling is valuable.

Always try to see from the other person's life, what they consider important and essential, and play to that.

Trust is sticking to honesty: It is built up over time, never rushed.

What do we like that is the same?

How do people bond without a shared interest to inflame passions?

On some level, the interests are the same.

Keep looking.

Certain Work
ramble_ty11.8.5zm4d5s_nb_b

O muse, please sing through my heart as I rhapsodize about why I enjoy certain work.

It can come down to it being seen as helpful, how much time is required to produce it, how much time is gained by doing it, etc.

Learning is a benefit because it has paradigm-shifting effects. It changes the direction the pen is aiming, at which questions.

I enjoy learning how to interact more effectively with people because I learn so much about myself.

I like building tools because they help me create more, to the point where I don't have to think about the implementation and can focus on the higher question.

Why do you enjoy certain work?

I enjoy not feeling pressured. I enjoy feeling like I'm making a dent of progress that will stay for a while.

This is why creation of tools is enjoyable. They provide benefits that reach into the long-term space.

Align your beliefs with your actions and you can change both faster.

O muse of reality, how do you like to create?

Learning has no bounds.

I like to feel organized, safe and secure, productive and creative. I like precision and accuracy.

I don't know why certain work kills my love; perhaps it is draining because it is not aligned with true desires.

I want to be better.

I want to be successful.

I don't feel squeezed and overwhelmed right now, but aimless and unfocused.

How can you bring about your dreams if you don't know what they are?

How can you figure out what you need?

Ideal Day
ramble_ty11.8.6zm4d6s_nb_b

O muse, please stir with me as I ponder an ideal day.

I wake refreshed and easily, pondering the most helpful thing to do.

I sit on the edge of the bed and think for a moment about the day.

I pick up a notebook and write what those things are that can add value to life, why they are important and essential.

The aim is to create helpful things for people.

I have food and think about all the people who cooperate to lead to the resources before me. I think of the plants and animals, and I wish to honor them by being a good steward of the energy they provide. Thank you, friends.

I summarize and enumerate needs.

I think about the questions, the answers. I break them apart and try and find openings and ideas.

I have great focus on the Now, and that enables me to focus on difficult questions.

Breakthroughs are made by strategic thinking.

The strategy is this: Think of all the angles.

Break it down and understand it.

Build up something grander.

Communication Advancement
ramble_ty11.8.7zm4d7s_nb_b

O wise Muse, grand reality, keeper of truth and eloquence, please speak within me as I ponder the mysteries of how to improve human communication.

Communication is one of the most crucial factors between the human and other animals.

The ability to have meaning embedded in actions, sounds, and gestures that themselves are meaningless is one of the great victories of humankind.

At the level society is at now, perhaps communication can be advanced by improving the empathy of the individuals, improving the speed of delivery, and improving the accuracy of meaning.

The first perhaps has the most benefits, for if people are shown when young that everyone is mistaken about something and we all have our own perspectives, the empathy overall can be raised and they will spend less time defending their viewpoint and more time seeking to understand others.

How can empathy be heightened?

Perhaps a lifetime of ignorance cannot be cured in a day.

There may be games and books that can help.

The second factor is speed of delivery.

If a person on one side of Earth can talk with another around the planet, the speed is enormously fast.

There are different styles of communication, too: Direct messaging and forums offer different ways of communicating over time.

Speed may the most advanced of the different aspects.

The third aspect, accuracy of meaning, is about automated translation and communication across languages, as well as inside the language in the form of text-to-speech and speech-to-text methods.

It has been a very hard problem to improve communication in this way, though much progress, too.

Natural language processing models have a growing number of developers.

As more time is invested solving this, the blind and deaf are aided, speakers of all languages will likely coalesce, and automatic transcription will be ubiquitous.

Given this accuracy of meaning versus speed of delivery versus empathy of humans, the empathy problem seems the least solved, perhaps, the most low-hanging fruit.

Being empathetic toward others can have the most leverage as well; it can increase the value of the others by multiples.

Empathy is a lever of communication.

The more empathy is improved, the faster humanity advances.

Money Qualms
ramble_ty11.8.8zm4d1s_nb_b

O muse of reason and higher order, please speak through me, guide the pen as I consider what I would do with money.

Would I have a house in the woods and seclude myself?

How much value can you give to humankind? Would you not miss the human company that is instinctively desired?

The knowledge that you are valuable to others: Is that what you want?

Do you wish to fulfill your potential, enjoy the ride, and stop taking yourself so seriously?

For me, no matter how "not-seriously" I take myself, the things in my situation still bear down on me and overcome my humor. Do I feel trapped, hopeless? It is like a giant wall I am trying to scramble, and as I reach up with my arm my leg slips.

All the factors together are multiplicative and overwhelming, but broken down they are mere details.

What really do you need?

There is the Fuller precession idea, and the mysteries of reality.

What would you do if you want to live a life of precession? How do you act?

Haste is unwise.

Rushing is a creator of sorrow.

How do you know what to do, if your reach is limited?

How can you be the person you want to be, living a life of interesting experiences and cultivating helpful knowledge and wisdom?

Going Freedom
ramble_ty11.8.9zm4d2s_nb_b

O muse and Mystery of existence, please share your excitement and prepare us to answer the questions for ourselves, of what freedom is and what's stopping us.

Perhaps freedom is the pursuit of joy without the trappings of daily life. It's not living to satisfy the whims of others or your past self or what they thought was good, but exploring new ground and enjoying the experiences.

Freedom is the absence of feeling obligated to do that which you don't enjoy, that which others expect you to do, and instead following your own path, being true to yourself and ignoring the naysayers.

Freedom is the hard work of creation and discovery, of figuring out uncertainties and overcoming them.

To me freedom is the wildlife around me, the plants and animals and scenery which cares very little for the trappings of human's lives.

Freedom is the ability to enjoy that around you without feeling like you're running out of time or doing something unproductive, but accepting life as perfect right now.

Have you withdrawn from this path?

What is stopping you from feeling that truth and serenity inside you?

I have too much; it bears down on me and forces me to maintain a life story I might not enjoy, might not relish.

How do you resist the temptation to hold on?

How do you overcome the barriers holding you back?

Understand what you really want.

Admit nothing has ever conquered you totally.

Admit life is long.

See barriers as opportunities rather than endings.

What's stopping you from freedom?

J-Style
ramble_ty11.8.10zm4d3s_nb_b

O muse of the mind and creator of majesty in the world and universe, please help my mind discover my style of operation and being.

I would say I do not tend to act on impulse.

I would say I focus on the long term instead of breaking barriers for the short.

I would say I am talkative; it depends on the people and subject.

I'm not exactly shy, but as yet I feel unconfident, like I have to make up for something, instead of accepting myself.

My style is perhaps one of nonchalance, giddiness, and through-and-through amazement with the world, yet still unsure of myself.

When I set my mind to do or learn something, and the reasons why I should care seem clear, I find little to stand up against my will. I've generally felt like I could win through sheer determination.

I suppose my style now is wisdom seeker, earnest helper, and confused person.

Going Places
ramble_ty11.10.14zm4d5s_nb_b

O Mystery and enabler of great things, please share now where we are meant to go.

Where in the world do you want to go?

Is there a place that calls to your spirit, pulling you closer in terms of love?

I would like to see the old, big creations of humanity, let the light from their existence radiate inspiration in my being. Museums can fuel enjoyment and childlike wonder.

Where should you head?

A place that gives delight to the heart, the mind, the spirit, the body.

An old human place, a new human place.

A bustling ecosystem of a jungle, a dry savanna where humans emerged.

There are no bad choices, perhaps.

What matters are the first choices, where you'd like to go sooner rather than later.

Natural history and human expression can give great wonder.

I would like to gain a feeling of the flavor of experience, the rich culture and art and technology history.

Communication puts food in your belly, a vital part of feeling secure and satisfied.

What skills do you have?

Where can you add value to the world?

There are always interesting places to see.

Step outside the door and explore.

Important Distractions
ramble_ty11.10.15zm4d6s_1_nb_b

O muse and mysterious entity above our simulation, please hear our calls and enable depth of thought to discover how we are distracted from the important.

Is it because we do not set limitations, so we are not required to focus on the essential?

Is it that the shiny distracts you while you are not living your dream?

How can one be so bold as to begin with the end in mind?

Accept that there are no perfect solutions, only implementable ones.

To do what is helpful is honesty.

Your inner values give you strength.

Be genuine.

Observe and you will love.

Create resonance, within yourself and outside yourself.

Are these founding principles to value and follow?

Keep in the mindset of an open and adaptable mind.

You don't want principles that do not encompass all of what you stand for.

Be genuine.

Observe.

Create resonance.

Stay agile.

Concentrate your patience on the important.

Resonance is created when different aspects are on the same frequency, and new patterns emerge.

When a glass with water resonates, it sings.

When your many facets resonate, you sing.

When you create resonance between yourself and the world, the world sings.

Being able to inspire and create resonance with others changes the world.

It's more than just about being effective.

It's about the unification of being yourself and being effective.

Be yourself and you will change your life.

Do not be afraid of change.

You don't know where the dots will lead until you follow them, and they may be a hard but rewarding road.

To not become distracted from the important, be genuine and don't lie to yourself.

The newly-evolved brain cannot fool the much larger hindbrain.

There is nothing worthy attained by trying to trick and lie to your older self.

You are not just a human; all of your ancestors are part of you. They are with you, perhaps not in memory, but in success. The good that they brought forth is in you.

Do not forget that you are billions of years old, and successful.

Be true to yourself and your ancestors.

Be genuine. Don't lie to yourself about your tastes or desires.

Observe. Watch, and you will be surprised, and you will fall in love.

Create resonance. Magic happens when things are on the same frequency.

Stay agile. The future changes, and you must too.

Discussing What's Important
ramble_ty11.10.15zm4d6s_2_nb_b

Dear Mystery, creator of this simulation, please see fit to give us insight into what is important to the inner being.

What are you meant to embark on?

I enjoy biology and genetics; the study of life is indeed one of my first major passions. From dinosaurs it began, perhaps. I can't remember a time I did not smile at the contemplation of these strange beasts.

It's always interesting how life and evolution works.

The question is what you're passionate about.

I don't want to burn out nor have too little energy.

The skill of communication can be one of life's most important.

I enjoy learning.

I enjoy exploring.

I want to be philosophically secure in the sense of feeling that I am helping the world.

Perhaps every day is best viewed as unique, a chance to enjoy the journey of climbing the mountain, instead of focusing only on the peak.

Perhaps it is best to not take yourself and the situation so seriously.

I'm not worried about Mystery; I'm not worried about the simulation of nature.

Mystery, do you have a life story we can learn from your generosity?

Is there something you want us to do?

Perhaps the fun is in not knowing. Perhaps it is more fun to voluntarily hide it.

An aspect of doubt can make some things more fun.

Believe you will do it, and you will.

It's fun to find out as we go along.

Peace in Losing
ramble_ty11.10.16zm4d7s_nb_b

O grand Mystery, muse of the soul and controller of the simulation, please grant us the clarity to make peace with losing.

Is not losing the most simple of failures?

Make peace with being unsatisfied, with not accomplishing your aims and with not achieving success.

Are you more driven to do the hard work when you are wanting to succeed?

Perhaps it is a game, a samsara that we can recognize and have fun with, but not feel trapped in or too concerned with.

There can be a higher truth than just living.

Having the physical, mental, metaphysical, and emotional facets in balance can lead to an effective life.

Why not make peace with losing?

On some level you must make peace with it, else the stress of failure can terrorize the present.

On some level you must believe in something, or there is no reason to exist. Even if it is the animal pleasures, it can be best to have some foundation.

There may be multiple pleasures which ground the self: Mystery, observance, hope, joy. These can help bolster the human animal from being distraught.

Perhaps there still must be a coherent vision of the future to live for.

A difficult question: What's the point of this?

To have fun.

Fun embraces the animal within.

Our nature as explorers comes from curiosity.

Curiosity created humanity.

Curiosity pushes us to explore patterns, opening their secrets.

Perhaps there still must remain some aspect of our animal nature to produce more of each other and protect and defend each other, no matter how far we get from biology itself.

Any being that persists wants to exist and replicate.

All aspects of the human ape should be respected, though not necessarily in the same ratios that evolution optimized.

Only Love
ramble_ty11.10.17zm4d1s_nb_b

O great and mysterious muse, please grant insight for a question today.

Why not only do what you love?

Is there a sensible reason to forgo love in place of another emotion?

Perhaps there are two parts: understanding love, and understanding the advantages of other emotions.

Perhaps a helpful concrete definition of "love" is as a quality of enjoying most aspects of an entity.

Other emotions, such as fear or disgust, might help keep us alive in times of danger. Do they not still boil down to love of living?

In my case, the pain of untethering has become less than the pain of being kept tethered.

There can be powerful benefit in sweeping out the old to make way for the new.

There is a gradual evolutionary experience, a growth toward the realization that Mystery, not you, is in control. It can be advanced through the process of application of thought. It's not thought applied to a problem; it's thought applied to the absence of problems---the Mystery.

It is awesome to feel free to untether, so you have time to focus on focusing.

Being concerned only with doing things you love frees you from obligations that really don't provide you with value.

Value can come from giving joy to others.

When looking forward, it's difficult to see the path the dots will make.

When you trust in Mystery, when you trust in your ancestors, when you trust your own experiences, then you can build the courage, step by step, to follow your intuitions and focus only on what you truly love.

Trust your intuition and the patterns that have worked in the past.

Reflection and contemplation and action without desire all will help guide you to the path you are meant to have.

Pay attention to those who embolden your desire for life and your ability to manufacture hope.

Keep going until you find what you love. Wherever you are meant to find it, you will.

Don't settle; never settle.

Don't worry about figuring it out.

You're following the script: You can't go wrong.

Old Remembering
ramble_ty11.10.18zm4d2s_nb_b

O greatest Mystery, dearest one, please see fit to help us as we move today, if it be your will.

The question is one of remembrance, whether to focus on old, powerful memories or focus on visualizing the future.

Perhaps you should visualize based on powerful love and enjoyable memories and discover what those are by reflecting on the past.

Perhaps the inner mind already knows what it likes and dislikes, and there is no way to take that offline from within.

Perhaps by searching the treasure trove of your past memories you can figure out and discover what your self's higher-order aspects are.

Perhaps you can't invent how you feel.

Do the work and step by step uncover what experiences have an impact until you have enough to construct a new shelter from the old.

Those things you don't get a chance to write down, Mystery has determined you don't need to

It's okay if things are hidden from your consciousness. It's not even sad, because Mystery has a grander plan.

Mystery guides you every moment; you cannot do anything wrong. Being led, you help others, too.

Mystery can move you where you need to be, doing what you need to do.

When you look at your past self and wonder what they loved, remember that the whys, the deep reasons they loved what they did, are still in you.

It is a combination of values and principles: that is your personal mission statement.

Your values and principles may be the same as when you were younger, even a baby, perhaps.

It helps to feel loved.

It helps to have someone to love.

We are all insecure.

We are all sensitive.

Perhaps do not try to fight it; it serves an evolutionary purpose.

Sensitivity helps show there are issues that need to be worked on and thought about deep in the mind.

When you apply your thought to deep aspects of being, it can help fix your foundations of self-esteem, which affects nearly everything you do.

Confidence and passions can be great equalizers. Neither come from ignoring your emotions because of wanting to feel invulnerable.

When you perceive yourself accurately, and your foundations are strong, you feel invulnerable internally, so you can be vulnerable socially.

Focus on your fun and good memories.

Bring up new perspectives and grand insights.

Consider the past; it informs the future.

There is a time for both reflection and visualization. Make time for both.

Ancestor Influence
ramble_ty11.10.19zm4d3s_nb_b

O great Mystery with power over all, please grant us insight.

There can be tendency to do much at once, in bursts. It can be more fun that way.

Bursts of energy can have power by allowing time to learn about the connections between parts.

Steady work can get too focused on the details and miss the forest for the trees.

Both are valuable systems.

Ancestors can have a great deal of influence on personalities and philosophies.

There is much original in the combinations of attributes. Combinations can change how you interact with your particular situation and thus create the macro situation.

Having conversations with your family can give tremendous insight.

Understanding your ancestors can help you understand yourself.

Happy Things
ramble_ty11.10.20zm4d4s_nb_b

O greatest muse of this simulation, please help the mind to produce helpful answers.

How many things are truly required to live a happy, fulfilled life?

What do you need to be truly happy?

The first are perhaps bodily requirements: air, water, food.

The eternal question: Where's the next meal coming from?

It seems simple, perhaps, but can be quite fundamental.

A good meal can help you feel good, work well, and sleep easily.

Food and sleep are the basis of a healthy life.

Other requirements are perhaps social considerations and acceptance.

Humans are apes, and apes are social.

Successful species perhaps have cooperation embedded deep in their behavior.

For me the best is when I'm with people who mutually love me, when they are intriguing and make me ponder.

I want to live a life that reflects no worries: Hakuna matata.

There is the metaphysical quest.

Perhaps it can be answered with meditation, focus.

There are different forms of meditation; it's an evolutionary process.

Sometimes I try and just focus on my breathing, other times observe my self, other times to ponder difficult questions, or just be.

Meditation is a broad idea; any focused and concentrated mind can be considered meditating, perhaps.

Whatever way gets you to meditate is the right way.

Paper and pen can record your thoughts for personal reflection and consideration, as well as organization for communicating them to others.

You think differently when something is in front of you instead of just swimming in your head. It can make you be more concrete.

Hard problems are often profitable when solved.

Intellectual curiosity has a self-reflective attribute because it's tied to understanding how things happen, how they can be better.

Bodily requirements, social considerations, metaphysical quest, intellectual game.

What else do you really need to be happy?

Thinking Behind
ramble_ty11.10.21zm4d5s_nb_b

O great muse who carries us toward the future we are meant to have, please help us answer questions, explore new ground, and discover insights.

Do you feel behind?

Isn't life and existence a game anyway? Shouldn't you be enjoying the process?

You can climb a mountain when you get something out of each step.

The mountain is not the peak; it is the bulk underneath.

Where are you behind?

Peers, societal expectations, heroes?

It's not hard to deliver value; it can be hard to stick to it over the long haul in the face of opposition.

There is something you can add value to that will also add value to your life.

I do believe we are in a simulation.

Feeling behind can come from feeling insecure, unworthy.

It can be so hard to let go.

Why should that be?

I have not yet settled my mind; I am not sure in my purpose, in what I love.

If you can't answer what you love now, what you have loved, perhaps you can't feel free to love the future.

You must practice being; it is born of experience, not simply knowledge and commands.

Every moment you dedicate to practicing being, you make it easier to do in the future.

When the self is secure, you can be at peace and create great things.

The Mystery of the simulation has worked out the plan.

You know how you want to be a great, genuine person?

The way is to fill your cup with love.

Observe.

It is the moments you dedicate to yourself and your peace that lead to your greatness and genuine ability.

It is not the rush that gets you across the world; it is not the rush that develops your mind; it is the slow and steady commitment to your self, breaking free slowly from the chains that have rested upon you.

What do you fear will happen?

Are you proud of your life?

Are you living with a spirit of love?

Do what you love.

Allotted Time
ramble_ty11.10.22zm4d6s_nb_b

Greatest muse of the mind, observer of the intellect and experience, I ask you to help me understand the nature of the question I bring today.

Do you think you are running out of time?

The question makes sense only in a certain context.

If you enjoy where you are headed, then you are not running out of time.

If instead each day you feel no closer to genuine success, if you feel stagnant and ill with only mediocre gains, the feeling of a ticking clock can make itself known.

I enjoy life right now, but I feel unfulfilled.

Am I running out of time to feel fulfilled?

On a gut level my answer is no.

Any insight that requires experience cannot be had without first getting the experience. It changes the game from one of heartbreak to one of revelation.

It's a low-grade misery; there are no specific problems, just general concerns. But all people may face them, mightn't they?

I don't want to be around whining people; it saddens me. That's a state I do not seek. I know it's not right to obligate myself to their whims.

Where do you go?

How can you feel better about yourself?

If you wish to have a sustainable life, perhaps start very small with only one thing at a time, enjoy your self, and be grateful.

Many skills are within you.

When you choose to create you have much to do.

Enjoy yourself and be grateful.

It can be the moment after you truly let go of your desire that you are given the fruit.

The idea of running out of time is an interesting one. It is less about running _out_ of time as it is about using the time wisely.

How best do you use time if you are running out?

Pay attention to the important things.

Consider death and it puts things in perspective.

Can life have meaning without death?

If you only have this day as your last, don't spend it on the trivial.

When you're faced with the very-long or very-short amount of time, you act differently: you consider the important and the consequences of your actions.

You're only running out of time if you are doing the unimportant.

Why does Mystery create Resistance, the internal battle of immediate and long-term gratification?

Memories can compress time.

The length of time can feel long because of the novel experiences.

Travel can expand time. It can give so many stories and experiences that they can't all be recalled by command.

Where do you go next?

Feeling fulfilled comes from having new adventures, from moving toward novel stimulation.

Enjoying Life
ramble_ty11.10.23zm4d7s_nb_b

O fantastic muse, intelligence shining on reality, please help us, guide us in our words and sustain for us your wisdom.

Please concentrate in me your effort as I consider if I am enjoying life now.

There are many irritating things that dishearten me, and then there can be a sabotaging of my effort and attitude toward improvement. It is an unhelpful cycle.

I am not any part of me, yet pain and fear can still take hold of my abilities, ransoming them to me.

It's a low-grade misery to not be willing to do the work.

Meditation can spur the mind away from the base traps.

Is there a perfect day?

Perhaps not.

Perhaps there is difficulty understanding what you want because you have not had the experience that tells you what it is.

Perhaps I long for a day that is dissimilar from all the rest, shifting and ebbing. There may not be a describable perfect day that fits these conditions.

Are you enjoying life now?

I enjoy knowing that life can always get better.

Today it is cold. I enjoy aspects of that. I am glad I get to keep warm in a home and think.

As distractions are removed, do you become less distracted?

Are you trapped by comfort? Is the rut so simple to stay in?

Every action has trade-offs. Get warm and you can't write; get up and you're cold.

It's no simple thing to only do what is right, and best, and true.

Throw off the prison, throw off the chains, and find it was more illusion than fact. The cold wasn't as biting as your fears led you to believe.

Why be fearful that if you change you will be worse and never able to be better again? Never to improve? It's a folly disproved over and over.

Fear can trap, condemn into a life of artificial and false dilemmas, as if you are facing the world alone, empty-handed and without a guide.

Movement, action, and change bring you closer to the life you are meant to live.

Even if adaptations of the past hinder in the future, keep adapting, keep breaking the mould into new pieces, building and creating anew.

Every pattern you discover unlocks more.

Happiness takes effort from your soul, your passions.

Never mind the fear.

You know you will succeed, is that why you put off trying?

It is constant effort and enjoyment of the labor that satisfies the soul, the mind. What is there beside it is fear, the absence of diligence.

Yes, the prize must be worthy.

Yes, the process must be redeemable.

There is no shortcut for overcoming fear. It's a delicate, daily process.

Consider yourself apart from the artist within you, recognize that by delineating a separation both of you are better off.

Are you enjoying life now?

I am when doing work.

I am when taking the long-term satisfying route.

Do the work.

Save.

Do the work.

Enjoy.

Creating Meaning
ramble_ty11.10.24zm4d1s_nb_b

O wise and benevolent muse, creator of dreams and happiness, of beauty and love, please dictate to me today as I consider a question.

Why do you think you will create meaning for your life?

We are ever-evolving branches of Mystery's tree.

I do not know if I am closer than I was; I do not know if I feel more stable, more content, than I did a year ago.

What I learn is that things change, what I value changes.

Does meaning come from outside the game?

Does the game itself provide reasons for existing?

If you love your art, cannot that provide value to your life in and of itself?

I know that I advance when I face the blank page and create what once was naught.

I know that I advance whenever I struggle, whenever I put forth real effort.

Daily knowledge takes real effort.

Daily practice for anything over time takes real effort.

It can be easy to give up. The closer you are to the decision, the faster it's made, the quicker you can abandon hope for an alternative dream. The next level quest, as it were.

There is always a higher level.

There is no level cap on life.

You can always keep moving, keep learning, keep exploring.

A boundary might be met with death, but even that is being postponed and halted by eternity.

There can be meaning found in life in the unification of hope, humanity, and animalism.

By fully embracing your animal creature, enjoying your faults as well as your features, you can break free of the grasp that fear and meaninglessness have upon your soul.

By "soul" I mean that part that is human, is old, and is good.

You have the power to love, the power to invest in the things that you have a passion for, and grow your soul.

You are not a mute individual: You are a social creature.

Other animals have given their wisdom and heart to the question; do likewise, learning and teaching those who care to listen.

We are outgrowths of each other, and the ability to touch another's soul with the artwork of our own is a magical gift.

You do not have a limit to your ingenuity, your desire for compassion and goodness.

You flow like a great and powerful river through time, affecting everything around you.

There is no greater power than the unification of love and wisdom.

Consider yourself as the most well-adapted human of your ancestors for your time. Just as they have done well in your eyes, hope to do well by the eyes of the future.

The future is bright; it is a hard road, but every day you add to your storehouse of skills.

Every day you are better.

Your abilities and habits compound.

You live when you are reinventing yourself.

Progress is inevitable.

Keep going.

Glad Knowing
ramble_ty11.10.25zm4d2s_nb_b

O Mystery of this reality, please guide our thoughts, help us understand who we have helped, who is glad to know us.

It is those people we touch that we have an impact on, that we learn from about who we are.

When you press your foot into the sand, the sand learns you, and can tell you about who you are.

I want people to be glad because I give them hope, make their lives more fun, and encourage them to do the same for others.

We all have faults; I want to learn and be shown where my faults lie.

Hope and guidance can be precious currencies.

You can learn from mistakes, and when you share with others we can learn together.

The problems I have, the concerns I have, when looking back through my memories, the problems are trivial, all of them.

Time heals all, and all you have is time.

To be freed from the circle of helplessness and arrogance we can look up and contemplate the eternal.

The eternal holds your human nature; the moment holds your animal nature.

Uniting the moment with the eternal, without sacrificing either, is a great power in life.

The ego is illusion, but the beauty the ego sees is not.

You can appreciate the illusion; you can learn and understand it given time.

The moment and eternity both bear their calls: They are the Eternal Now.

Nothing matters in the moment; nothing matters in the eternal.

Everything matters in the moment; everything matters in the eternal.

Both are arrows of time. One points toward yourself, and one points away. They do unite, for get far away from yourself and you discover yourself.

The important things are inside yourself. They can be dug and extracted and refined---they are there.

Can faith in Mystery be cultivated?

Can you trust yourself?

Yes.

Creation Satisfaction
ramble_ty11.10.26zm4d3s_nb_b

O great Muse and originator of awe, please help us have the words to describe and understand when we will be satisfied with our creations.

Is not inner peace the aim of human existence?

Do you want to feel content and sure and able?

Where is beauty in the world?

Are you an ever-changing book, reinterpreting itself and the habitat in which you exist?

Peace is an emotion, a habit that can be developed.

New tales can be told, new ideas concocted.

As yet I don't live and work at the pace of thought, but I should still try to structure my work environment to promote that. For now I rely on paper and pen to capture my thoughts. I enjoy the silence and time-dynamic nature of writing.

Do not be so wrapped up in the future that the present becomes meaningless.

There is a pattern of refinement that all life has, starting from the basic nuggets and improving and growing.

Advancement of the inner mind brings rewards to all of experienced life.

As your ability to appreciate wisdom and beauty grows, so does your skill in life.

Even if you're never satisfied with what you've created, you can let it stand for the person you were when you created it.

You are ever-changing, both subtly and overtly. Every change is progressive, a small evolutionary move.

Others do not see your inner environment, how it shifts and changes throughout time. They see only your actions, your nonactions. They imagine themselves in your place, and ask themselves what they would have done. That is a human method.

Some things can be more fun when they are a mystery: gifts in boxes to hide their contents.

Some things, like travel, help populate the world with more intrigue. In effect: mystery. Little things can become more interesting, more understandable. Travel can show those things you wish to depart from, the bad habits of ancestors and country.

What is the point of ambition for the sake of ambition?

Is there not an aim in mind, and is not that aim to be happy, content, have inner peace, serenity?

Mysteries can be more fun.

Treat your creation like a work of your past. Still, make better.

Make Better Desires
ramble_ty11.10.27zm4d4s_nb_b

O fun and deep muse of the soul, please move words so they may flow freely.

How do you reconcile the desire for the fruit of action with the desire to enjoy the action itself?

Must there be a renouncing of the desires of the future in order to have peace and fulfillment in the present?

Perhaps the animal need not be thrown away to have peace.

I have found it hard to consistently stay away from desires; it may be my personal failures, but I feel there must be a better, more natural, harmonious method.

How do you gain character?

How do you increase your self-discipline?

Small effects compound over time.

Failure can be learning something that doesn't work.

I want to enjoy the action, the moment. I also want to look forward to moments in the future.

Always be in love with the moment.

So often I find myself beat down, time and again, by the daily rigors and chores of the mundane life.

Is it wrong to be concerned about the future, when you can intellectually realize the ego is an illusion?

Getting out of the routine can help insights be made. Change things up.

A person can go a long way after they're tired.

Pushing Yourself
ramble_ty11.10.28zm4d5s_nb_b

Dear muse of life, please enable us to hear your whispers, please conjure in us the imagery to understand and answer questions.

Should you push yourself if you don't enjoy it?

Perhaps no, unless there is a great purpose that you are willing to suffer for.

Is this a general case, where everything you do on some level you enjoy?

People can be mistaken about what they want.

Understand what it is you enjoy.

A way to do this can be to cut out what you don't enjoy.

Another way is to be willing to try new things, things you might enjoy a lot.

On an essential level, you should enjoy what you do.

Why do I enjoy writing?

Writing is applied thought; it explores new ground.

Inspiration comes when you think. Even when something "just comes to you", you still had to think all that time and build up the connections.

Thinking is hard, yet can be a stepping stone from animal to human.

It's not simply about acting; it's about reflecting on action. That builds new connections that cannot come from only action.

While action is urgent, reflection can be seen as only important, so infrequently done.

Why can the animal inside find it so difficult to start, to overcome the inertia of starting?

Resistance can be a hard force to overcome.

Do simpler animals face the same difficulty of action?

Perhaps the difficulty is unique to us, which could be so if the squirrel is fighting for survival while we just want to write a book.

Fear can be a compass toward what to do.

Why should the simple act of creation be so painful and scary?

Perhaps it's not just a matter of focus and attention.

I feel a pull to do something else, something simpler and easier and that requires less energy.

What is this force?

Why does it exist?

Perhaps it is for keeping the mind from locking into a pattern, like a transmission that changes the gear the mind is in.

Why is it a pull to a lower gear, like gravity pulling the car down, slowing it?

Constantly accelerate in order to not lose speed.

Feeling Guilty
ramble_ty11.10.29zm4d6s_nb_b

O great muse of inspiration, please have the kindness to grant ability and discovery.

Should you feel guilty for not pushing yourself?

Perhaps it is good; maybe it pushes you to greater heights. But on some level you don't want to do it. What level is that, and does it have sensible rational?

Perhaps it's a dislike of pain, of hard work, of being uncomfortable.

Perhaps the unconscious has detected a reason to not act, but can't verbalize it.

Maybe it has to do with trying to spin too many plates at once.

If you have too many projects at once, each one can make the others more difficult.

Don't feel guilty for not doing something you don't really want to do.

What project is the most important?

What should you focus on first?

What is most important?

Your personal mission, your love of life.

All other projects pale in comparison to the project of figuring out who you are, what you love. They fall by the wayside, irrelevant.

Are you getting closer to figuring out what you love?

For me, yes, but it seems to be in cycles. It changes. Perhaps that's how it must be.

One particular passion may not stay at the top of your list throughout all of life.

You can change; you are constantly changing.

Some people just aren't meant to be in your life. You will find better people. Don't worry about them; focus on yourself.

Trouble can come when you try to please another without much help to yourself.

You must get perspective.

Life is long.

Live it now.

Appreciate the little things.

It'll get better; it always does and has before.

Pay attention to and focus on yourself and who you really are, what you really love.

Love yourself, first.

Mindfulness Sense
ramble_ty11.10.30zm4d7s_nb_b

O great inventor of creation, muse and experiencer of love and wisdom, please instruct us today.

What is more helpful: the constant sense of mindfulness, or the skill while meditating?

The sense provides more frequent breaks during daily living, but requires practice and upkeep, still.

The skill while meditating can help concentrate the strength during the rest of the day.

It can also require a time investment which can fall to the wayside over the days.

Overall there may be more benefit to the skill, since it also spreads over into the sense.

It's fun to meditate.

You can always learn something you didn't expect.

The sense provides temporary relief, but might not break the pattern of the build up.

The skill has a tendency to refocus effort on things that are more important, which can restructure the day, year, and life.

The sense does help; it pops through and can unburden a task from a weary mind.

Attitudes are crafted by the environment.

The skill of mindfulness can give the courage to overcome the minutiae, to recreate the world and bring it more in line with a productive philosophy. That is what impacts the world.

The skill of mindfulness creates a snowball effect.

Practice your patience.

You can remove obstacles with the patience you've developed, and be free to develop more art.

Hope comes from the feeling that things are getting better.

You can cast seeds that will grow into impactful plants if you tend to them.

Concentrate on love as a verb to grow the tree which bears the fruit of love as a noun.

Focus on your inner love, not just your environment but also your personality.

Love who you are; love who you will become. If you do not, your love for another is not as deep.

By being satisfied, really content, you project that feeling with the people you encounter, and that draws in and attracts the things that bring you more contentment.

Yes, of course you want to have resources, make a huge positive difference in the world, and live forever. But if none of that is possible, then you must be content with your life now.

Truly accept absolute loss.

After you are truly at peace, not expecting anything, then you can truly enjoy the reward.

Thanks Today
ramble_ty11.11.1zm4d2s_nb_b

O wise and great one who causes the knowledge of the world, please speak through my mind and declare what is true and divine, as I ponder what I am thankful for today.

I am thankful for sleeping bags and comforters, to provide warmth. To have a warm body is the simplest of pleasures, with sustenance on the same level.

I am glad for the warm, hot meal I am blessed with.

I am thankful for the comfortable bed and the rest I am given.

I could be given so much less, but instead I have a lot.

I am truly fortunate, and even more so because I realize that.

The world is unbelievably rich, in terms of how much stimulation is available.

Truly I am blessed.

I am thankful to have a pen I enjoy, and to have been able to travel. They've changed me for the better, both the writings from the pen and the experiences from travel.

Fear of stagnation is unfounded, as long as you can move about, even if only in your mind.

I am thankful for my pocket notebooks; they provide an interesting expansion of mind.

I am thankful for spices, so many spices. They make food so much more lively.

I am thankful for chairs, to allow meditation.

Thank you, Mystery, for endowing me with powerful emotions, especially passion and love, so that I may have courage and patience.

Thank you for sweet orange juice; it's a special treat indeed, and I hope to never take it for granted.

Thank you for my dog, and the love she shows me, helping me to understand we all want love and attention.

Thank you for my pillow, a blessing that shows that flexibility opens whole new avenues of use.

Thank you for weariness, to convince me to sleep.

Sleep is such a deep blessing; it replenishes and provides time for a dreaming consciousness; it breaks up and redistributes memories; it puts another perspective on the problems of waking consciousness. Such a beautiful thing.

I am thankful people are willing to consider the nonobvious, and I am glad conveying nonobvious information is a skill that can be cultivated.

Thank you for the Internet, and the access to information and the ability to globally communicate. It's so dear, and our future is so tied into the ability to communicate.

The world's always been changing: get used to it while you're young.

The Worst of It
ramble_ty11.11.2zm4d3s_nb_b

Dearest mystery of life, thank you, sweet muse of creation.

It's a rather tortuous time if you have anxiety but not the strength to overcome it.

What's the worst that could happen?

Perhaps the worst is eternal torture, pain, and hopelessness.

The feeling of hopelessness can be a predominate cause of depression and sadness.

Oh how attitudes and reflections can shift.

Beliefs about the world affect the world. It's an interpreting of the environment based on what you think about.

The journey from getting from one idea to another is how you find all the other interesting ideas.

The worst is hopelessness.

The best is hopefulness.

Hope is fun. Ramping up the interest level is fun.

Why can hopefulness seem so far away, so often?

Is it a problem inherent in humans?

Is it a systemic problem, where the systems of the current environment happened to create that feeling of ineptitude, failure, worthlessness?

As a creative human, there is very little worthless about you.

You have such profound effects over the environment, over your attitudes and beliefs, that it's a little silly to be scared of your worth, your skills.

Hard work creates success. "Hard" meaning difficult to understand, difficult to do, seemingly futile.

Hard work builds your humanness.

If you are willing to love work, you will have a much more enjoyable life.

What is it that separates regular life and preformed games?

Games advance at a level that has been found to increase fun the most, or at least that is the idea.

Why isn't life structured like this? Is it because we set the aims, not an outside programmer?

A self-directed sandbox can eventually become boring when the boundaries of behavior are mapped out.

What if it was a social creation, not bound by one player?

How does life get to be so insular that the social aspect disappears?

We want to enjoy a self-directed life, and we are all weird and we all have different tastes and desires and beliefs, but inside a group, a company: Is there not opportunity to turn life into a game?

Even if the aims are picked, you must, to make a game fun, have a series of understandable, broken-down steps in order for the player to not feel overwhelmed.

When you know the next thing to do, you keep playing.

There's also a factor of immediate gratification and delayed gratification; it's an important tool for increasing anticipation and fun.

Too much immediate gratification can lead to burnout, too much delay can lead to quitting because of a sense of futility. Games harness both aspects of this, correctly.

Games keep you on your toes; they keep you stable, too. They want you to keep playing.

It's all about fun.

How can you gamify life?

Leaving Laziness
ramble_ty11.11.3zm4d4s_nb_b

O wonderful creator of the mind, instigator of beauty in the world, please help me know answers to questions.

How do you leave laziness?

How and why is there trouble in facing laziness?

Does laziness come from the inside, from an internal frame of reference?

Is laziness an external cause of the environment?

Perhaps the internal is related to motivation and the external is related to distraction.

Increase the internal motivation and decrease the external distractions.

On the inside, how does you build motivation?

Recognize a question, recognize your ability to answer it, believe it's the most important question you can work on. These things all help build stability and longevity of effort.

Figuring out a question that satisfies all those conditions is your life's work. It both takes all your living effort and it is the purpose that gives life meaning.

Motivation can come from a pull toward something great, something greater than yourself. That pull, instead of a push, helps you leave laziness, because you aren't lazy about what you find interesting.

You pursue your interests, no matter where they lead, even if they have absolutely no future benefit or applicability that you can see.

Your actions need to support themselves through time, not be discarded when the going gets tough and daily chores creep.

Align yourself with your true desires. It's difficult to do; it must be earned.

With external distractions, perhaps it's about simplifying life.

Anything that does not add to you, that is not making you a happier, more secure person, is not something that is helpful and should be left.

There are things in your life that are holding you back---fears, unassurances, confusion---these things are not part of you: You can leave them.

Think through things.

Why are you scared of it?

Why is it causing you embarrassment?

Nothing can really hurt you, if you look at your consciousness in the right way.

You can move in a better way, more grounded in experience and wisdom and long-term systems.

Distractions that are holding you back you can leave, if you're open to experiencing growing pains.

Minds are meant to grow.

It can be hard to do what feels strange and unnatural. There can be confusion about purpose and how to have meaning in life.

Every time you apply your mind, you get stronger.

You can do it.

You can follow a better path, if you are willing to experience hardship.

Confusion can be an essential part of life.

Pushing against the confusion, slowly, slowly, and realizing it does recede as you push: That gives a great hope to life.

It's a demonstration of positive progress.

Feeling confused can be a sign of future hope.

Keep pushing.

Now Living
ramble_ty11.11.4zm4d5s_nb_b

O great and wise creator of all thoughts, please energize the mind so we may have wheels ever-spinning to the truth.

How do you live in the Now instead of always looking for the next best thing? Isn't this a crucial task of an evolving human?

To live in the Now is to let the future come as it may, not worrying about it.

This tactic of Now-living can be one of the greatest abilities of a person to be satisfied and content with life.

Live your life properly now, not in some distant future.

Life is fun; life is art.

The sense of Now can be cultivated, like a skill. You exist outside your body, instead of being trapped in the emotions of inner life and turmoil.

I surely have been sad when facing the abyss. Yet I look at the darkness and it is slowly illuminated, like eyes growing accustomed to a low level of light.

A thinking creature can answer any question, given enough time.

You can think, and then you can think even deeper thoughts, more pressing and real.

The more you know, the more you can grow.

Stopping Wanting
ramble_ty11.11.5zm4d6s_nb_b

O great muse, intelligence of reason, please see fit to move the pen and thoughts in the wisest of manners.

What is the nature of how to stop wanting?

Some things people want. Some they think they want, but they don't like them afterward. Some things they think they don't want, but enjoy them afterward. Some they really don't want, either before or after.

Perhaps wanting can be broken down as wanting and liking, anticipatory and satisfactory.

Some things people want and are better for having.

Physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual. These can be some of the fundamental aspects of human desires.

A sound body, a grand hope for the future, a love of life, an interesting time of learning.

If you want these things, no one will critique you. These are basic forms, and they can be foundational.

Get back to basics.

It is not bad to want these things.

If you train on just one path for too long, it can make you weaker.

It can be difficult and embarrassing to admit inadequacy, but it can be a route for growth.

How can you get better if you don't try?

Are you paying too much attention to something that has already received enough?

You want to be happy, love, and have fun.

You might learn that you are different than you first imagined.

Success in life is inner peace. It comes through understanding. There is no magic shortcut. It takes time, and a relationship with your unconscious.

Give up old desires in order to have what's most important.

Creation Game
ramble_ty11.11.6zm5d7s_nb_b

O deepest muse of thoughts, controller of rules and fun and happiness, please grant clarity of thought, please endow reason and wisdom.

What do you want to create? Why?

Of all nontrivial questions, this can be an important decider and compass.

Things elucidate when you push on to make more connections in the mind.

I want to help create systems for people, help them pursue hard questions, foundational questions of life and meaning and problems.

There are so many different factors that any reductionist attempt to disentangle them can be bound to knock on the wall of overwhelming complexity. Focus on the unitive: Bring things together, the holistic view of existence.

Concentrate the mind on one issue and explore new, undiscovered ground.

Focusing solely on creations for the short run can reduce total possible joy.

Perhaps there is no one thing that you can create; it is always a balance between the near and the far. You have multiple inputs, stimulating you on different levels. This can provide the ultimate satisfaction.

Do not ignore yourself and what you need.

Cater to the deep thoughts and problems you have and face.

The closer you get to the personal, the more relevant you become.

Believe in yourself; have faith in Mystery; enjoy the ride.

It's not easy, but if it was too easy it would be boring.

The deeper you grow the happiness groove, the more often you will feel it.

Sometimes there can be a feeling like it's hopeless, like you aren't advancing as fast as you should, and your dreams are seeming more dreamlike. But they don't have to be.

Be still and breathe: You can still enjoy yourself on some level of existence.

Create relevance.

Rich and Famous
ramble_ty11.11.7zm5d1s_nb_b

Fantastic muse, mover of creation, please teach how to fulfill your desires, whisper to the mind the plan for your wishes.

Perhaps some part of the gut, the animal, always desires more social acceptance. To deny that can be to hide from an aspect of being.

What are the benefits of being rich and famous?

Perhaps it comes down to power, power to make things happen.

Power can make it easier to do things.

More choice doesn't always lead to more happiness, and the same applies to power.

What would you do if you had more power?

What if being rich and famous diminishes who you are?

If you become famous, does that make life less enjoyable?

Are you trying to change who you are by gaining external power, or amplify yourself by acquiring it? If the former, it will do you no good to gain the external while the internal is unprepared.

You need to understand your inner self while also understanding how to amplify it by gaining power. They are, in effect, combined. You can't properly understand how to amplify without understanding your inner self.

Even the mechanics of life pale in comparison to how complicated humans can behave.

If you understand your inner self, do you implicitly know how to gain power? Perhaps yes, if it teaches you what's important and provides direction.

Understand what you want, first.

High Expectations
ramble_ty11.11.9zm5d3s_1_nb_b

O great and wise and powerful mystery of the muse that enables thoughts and reflections on the universe, please do us the kindness of guiding us.

I deeply believe I am going to live forever.

I don't want to take life for granted; I want to live it fully.

If you expect to live forever, then perhaps all worries now are trivial.

Time will make everything glorious.

By working hard and delaying gratification you can build something great.

Worry over the mundane makes it worse and paralyzes you.

Do you have high hopes for achieving your dreams?

How well do you fit into the society you're in?

How much better are the other living creatures for your being here?

All of life led to now, and you are an abstract creation of the mind.

Nothing is set in stone.

You can always change; you can always be on a different path.

Many regret the things they didn't do more than the things they did.

Why regret if you live forever?

Good Passion
ramble_ty11.11.9zm5d3s_2_nb_b

O fabulous muse, generator of wisdom and thoughts, endower of insight, please help us.

Is passion good for you?

What is love if not passion?

What is renunciation if not passionlessness?

Do you give up passion as you give up longings and worries to the Mystery of the higher power?

Are you made better, on the moment-scale and eternal-scale, by being passionfree or passionate?

When passionfree the longings and worries equalize, yet when passionate the longings and worries can be amplified. Which has the greater joy, overall, if the evidence for each's legitimacy is equal?

Perhaps it is about balance between many desires and few desires, rather than passion versus none.

Each desire in life can weaken the others, draining the strength.

It can also bolster them, if each is constructed in a way that satisfies different aspects of your inner being.

If passion is good for you, it might be in only certain things.

Passion in the game, in the beauty and fun of Mystery, has a firm foundation.

You can build when things are stable.

Perhaps there are levels of passion. There may be passion for a high level of existence, but the low level may offer no clear beauty.

A deepening of passion, of consciousness, is love of the Mystery, the entity controlling the simulation.

The question is how to step outside of the linear time-being, controlled by the thoughts of the past and the future, how to step aside and roll in all the riches all around you, forgetting for once how much they are worth.

Perhaps that is a true value of meditation: to roll in the beauty of the present, live separately from a time-bound consciousness, and grow and strengthen the meditative connections inside you that make your consciousness and give you peace.

Ultimately the purpose of passion is peace of a higher order, and if you can create the lower-order components, you are that much further along, able to experience a deeper peace, a deeper consciousness.

Let go of time-being, let go of your concern.

It's all been worked out.

Ultimately, the pieces will fit together.

From a stable place of deep internal peace, passion in life and for life can gain a deep stronghold and become self-perpetuating.

Is passion good or bad?

Passion is good when it comes through peace. It's bad when it does not recognize peace and hope are the ultimate currencies.

Why Alive
ramble_ty11.11.10zm5d4s_1_nb_b

Great Mystery, inspirer of awe, instigator of joy, please place your hand upon our minds and let words of truth burst forth.

Why are you alive?

There is the story of the hedgehog and the fox.

The fox demands no single answer to the question: they bolster and feed each other. The hedgehog demands that there be one prism, one glass through which all of life can be compared and understood.

I am not sure that the hedgehog mindset has as much to offer as the fox does, because differing viewpoints help put each other in perspective.

Perhaps that's the proper way to look at life: many, many variables, an uncountable and unfathomable multitude of causes and effects, ends and means.

All things impact the future, and even an exploding star is changed when the area around has a different history.

In some ways this is a nice way to view reality, and life, because you realize that fun is in the mind of the beholder, and there is no single way to live that is the only correct life; it is all correct.

Whether you live it up or study hard, both are valid, both have their place in the scheme of existence.

It comes down not to objective correctness, but to who you are as a person, as an individual, as a consciousness.

Why are you here?

Why should you assume there is a single answer?

There are so many reasons you are here, so many things for you to change and experience.

Why do you want to be alive?

Why do you want to be here?

To experience the beauty of the animal and human, the beauty of the natural world and the world of the mind.

The pain of the mundane, the aches, the injuries, the sufferings: Why do you want those?

When you have the low you appreciate the high.

Deeper sorrow can allow for deeper joy.

Experiences inform each other.

Learn from your joy, learn from your sorrow.

Humility and Pride
ramble_ty11.11.10zm5d4s_2_nb_b

O dearest knower of all, muse of minds and penetrator of truths, please speak through us so that you may better know yourself.

Why be humble instead of proud?

Truly all the great people I admire advocate it, and I wish to understand the deeper reasoning and cause.

Does humility allow for change over time, allowing you to correct errors of judgment?

Perhaps there is a social component as well, where one enjoys the company of the humble more than the proud.

Should you look at yourself humbly or upon your accomplishments with pride?

You are not in control of reality.

You are the mystery of the simulation.

Appreciate the good for good's sake, not for how it brings good to you.

Humility allows you to realize there are even greater levels of perception and beauty that you had no conception of.

Being humble in the face of the awe you feel allows you to experience even deeper awe.

It's not about thinking yourself less worthy; it's about giving the responsibility to a power grander than you can imagine.

It's about realizing that you are a small grape clutching the vine, and what you create is due to the vine and the earth and the light, not you.

What does pride add to your life?

It makes the ego feel good, but the animal can feel better, including the human, by accepting humility and awe instead.

It's so beautiful, it makes you weep.

It's overwhelmingly joyous; there is too much good to process.

It feels good to experience this humility. It teaches that it will all work out in the end, that there is no need to fear running out of good, of fun. Even if you do you can change your experience, uncover a new aspect of truth in a fresh run, without the memories and baggage of the past.

This is what humility offers.

Pride cuts you off from the rest of existence.

Humility reveals existence to you.

What is there besides existence?

You intellectually realize you are part of existence, inseparable from it.

Be humbled that you live in a time where you have opportunity.

Be humbled that good things come together to help you, to create you, to use you to create more beauty and truth.

Be ever thankful for the opportunity.

Acknowledge the beauty of everything around you.

Humility reveals; pride conceals.

World Peace
ramble_ty11.11.12zm5d6s_1_nb_b

O greatest diviner of wisdom, thought, justice, and beauty, thank you for your assistance. Please bear with us, speak through us, experience through us.

Why work for peace in the world?

Peace is what we strive for.

How does it come?

By contemplating the moment and the eternal you are brought closer to each.

By stepping outside of the temporal frame of reference and consulting your inner self, that which makes you Be, you can have joy even without doing.

It is not you that acts, but Mystery through you.

Every act is divine, if you see that your peace comes swiftly.

Why should you strive to impart peace to other humans?

By instituting peace within yourself, by finding the middle ground between peace and hope, by balancing them, you may come to spread peace and hope person to person.

The world is made of individuals, and it is by understanding your absolute humanness, that which is scarcely affected by the seasons of culture, that you can influence others on a one-on-one basis. Instead of ideas and energies being pushed toward others, they are sought, they are pulled. That comes from understanding your deep self, your nature.

The deeper you study yourself, the more peace.

Interesting surprises abound in the unlit corners of the mind.

It is by delving, slowly, slowly, into each nook and cranny that a gradual picture of your human and animal emerges.

By leaving no stone unturned you can be sure there are things to consider.

Face the door with the assurance that Mystery faces it with you.

It's not about working for world peace: It's about working for inner peace.

The more your internal components are compatible, the stronger your persuasion will be for encouraging peace in others.

Inner peace is what you're striving for when you strive for fun, for love, for beauty.

It's peace that you're working for when you promote good.

If it's peace you want, why pursue the periphery?

Why not go straight to the heart of your desires?

Work directly on inner peace.

You must balance life, but pursue inner peace first.

Success is getting what you need, not necessarily what you want.

You may want something that you don't end up liking.

Peace gives you the strength to exist.

Peace comes when you are genuine.

Be, instead of do, and you shall have peace.

Practice peace, learn peace.

Peace will carry you.

Changing Morality
ramble_ty11.11.12zm5d6s_2_nb_b

O great and wonderful Muse, light of life and passion, granter of insight into beauty and depth of thought, please guide us now as we seek to understand more.

Can you turn off your morality, or is it fixed and unchangeable, outside your grasp?

Things you read, ideas you learn, moralities you encounter: all have an impact on your constructed view of right and wrong.

The part of you that is pre-language, the animal, can be tuned to how the human feels, but they interact.

The animal gives some insight into the human, and the human into the animal.

Mirror neurons that let you empathically feel the other person's pain are deep in the animal.

Beliefs have reasons: they are understandable and composable.

Reality may perhaps not allow us to perceive its ultimate levels. We do remarkably well though.

I am an animal, sitting and writing, using electricity and hundreds of materials to stimulate and capture thought.

Perhaps morality is dependent on beliefs, and beliefs change over time.

Partitioning the mind, and separating the earlier belief from the novel belief, can be difficult. Regardless, many seem able to intellectually understand and agree with one concept or idea and yet not be able to implement it in the daily struggle for life.

Perhaps it is a matter of core desires and beliefs not providing a strong foundation for the beliefs prescribed by recent reality. There may be gaps and holes, issues that aren't thought through.

Take one step at a time, process serially, don't give up on understanding difficult ideas.

You can slowly but surely break through and build up.

Fill in the cracks one by one, fixing the problems as they appear in order of priority.

Slowly, slowly you repair the foundations, your character, and from a solid base you have a respectable and dependable creation.

It's not easy to do all of it, but it is easy to do any one piece of it.

Keeping the ball moving, even at a snail's pace, will accrete and accrue a mountainous ball within your lifetime.

It's not about what you can't do; it's about what you can do.

You can exercise the mind in the pursuit of a solid foundation and character.

Best Decision
ramble_ty11.11.13zm5d7s_nb_b

O wonderful and wondrous generator of beauty, revealer of passion and joy, please give insight as we go about doing your will.

Why not feel the decision you made was best?

Can you make a decision without the aid of Mystery?

Is not your decision made with the best of intentions?

Perhaps regret is due to not feeling a decision was best.

How much do you have to think about a decision before it changes to thoroughness, the best?

Uneasiness can be a foundation of indecision and a feature of ambivalence.

How can you separate out factors that bring you peace from ones bringing disorder unless you search your desires and make your confusion cede to your effort of will?

If you have two equal choices, flip a coin; if you don't, write.

Perhaps uneasiness that comes from deciding between two choices comes about because you haven't stated and gone through your real problems, your real concerns.

Where two things are unequal but you don't know which is better, that is a space for you to explore and grow, a valuable and viable space for growth.

"Analyze your true desires and make your decision that way."

It can seem overwhelming to face the mountain, but it's not a matter of giant progress, but tiny, compounding changes.

You will learn new skills.

You will be happier than you've ever been, but you can also have the greatest sadness you've ever felt.

Don't worry.

Keep the faith.

Give up before you begin your journey; accept that you are not in control; try and enjoy yourself.

Change yourself to be who you are, what works.

It is by understanding your true motivations, whatever they may be, that you come closest to realizing how to be happy.

Trust what you believe, and seek to understand and learn more.

It all works out for the best.
