ramble_ty11.10.7zm4d5s_nb_3

Life should get more rewarding to live as technology gets better.

Effectiveness comes from combining talent with where to direct the talent.

There is always more than one way to fix a problem.

Try drawing to remember.

Memories are like springs for each other.

You can't find something in the wrong place.

Reinforce what will break first.

ramble_ty11.10.8zm4d6s_nb_3

Is it full if it has anything?

ramble_ty11.10.10zm4d1s_nb_3

Don't hide from yourself.

Don't undersell yourself.

Regimentation creates stagnation.

"Many hands make light work."

Don't build barriers for yourself.

"I'm sorry. I started talking before you finished your question."

Hostilities breed inaccuracies.

Don't feel embarrassed; it doesn't matter.

More choice can lead to more regret.

Beware of people following opposing paths.

Communication is a hard problem.

If you aren't earnest and willing to be wrong, you definitely will be.

Every sedate and energetic person affects the energy of the situation.

Mentoring is just as important as access to education.

Hard questions asked at a meeting can illuminate ignorance.

People find it easy to follow the status quo.

Understanding the question can help answer it.

When we sit we are equal.

"The state of the bathroom shows the state of the kitchen."

More structure can mean less productivity.

When you learn, it can be hard to remember how you didn't know.

Love.

"Given the context of the situation, how would you structure the system?"

"That whole sobriety thing is good for people."

You can become undisciplined if you don't see the point.

ramble_ty11.10.11zm4d2s_nb_3

Rushing creates problems.

It's always a work in progress.

It's not about raw access to data: It's about mentors who will help use it.

"I'm not a perfectionist, I just enjoy being precise."

You can't work in a system that doesn't want to change and expect to change it. You have to rise above it and create a better system.

If it's not doing you any good, cut it.

If you look at it and just see busywork, cut it.

Writing answers more questions than just thinking.

This is a world with hard choices, but that's more fun.

When you think it all the way through, very little things matter.

"We'll get there when we get there. Don't worry about it."

Speak slower.

We are all so different.

"Just keep going and we'll figure it out on the road."

"If you don't want to do it, don't do it. It doesn't matter."

You can't answer all the world's questions in one day.

"One day you'll say: I can't believe I know all these things."

Your life doesn't have to be a certain way by a certain time.

Enjoy the moment. Smile.

Breathe deep.

ramble_ty11.10.12zm4d3s_nb_3

Drawing conclusions changes the data when it's in the brain.

A gentle creature should still protect itself.

It's okay to not like scary things.

"Slow down, friend. You work yourself up for naught."

Elevate yourself out of your seriousness.

ramble_ty11.10.13zm4d4s_nb_3

When you make peace with failure, the challenge is overcome.

Know the rules so you can break them for effect.

Create your dream.

You win by doing it right, not fast.

Consider yourself as the whole package.

Tangles are like chain reactions.

Just because they're on another side doesn't mean they're bad.

It's beautiful after it's rained.

You're not the first person with this question.

ramble_ty11.10.14zm4d5s_nb_3

Time must be invested.

We are so young, so small. We can be so much grander.

There are always positives and negatives.

It's a big world.

Don't force yourself to mix with someone who brings you down.

ramble_ty11.10.15zm4d6s_nb_3

Be genuine.

Observe. You don't have to make an effort to love if you observe.

Don't settle. Never settle.

Do what feels right.

Bring yourself into resonance.

Limit passions to the long-haul.

Revere Mystery. Learn it.

"What one person can do another person can do."

Slow and steady creates miracles.

Create resonance.

An insect can latch onto another insect in mid-flight and carry it off.

"Value differences."

You don't have to have it all in one.

Nothing has to be bad.

Select for the best total package in the strain.

If you were in the same position, you'd do the same thing.

Do what's important.

Blame incentives, not people.

You don't move fast if you can't see.

You treat things differently when you know you can't repair them.

Combine the technologies.

ramble_ty11.10.16zm4d7s_nb_3

See yourself having done it.

Start moving. Build momentum.

You can't rush exercise.

There's more than one way to evolve.

Promote your message.

"Inspiration is everywhere."

[
If you could start over and only do what was really important at the expense of not doing the unimportant, would you do it?

Would you give up lists and artificial burdens and obligations if it means you are actually doing important work?

Would you accept saying "no" to many good ideas if it means saying "yes" to one idea you really feel is great and important?

It's not easy to say "no" to good ideas.

It's not easy to focus on the great idea.

It's hard to cut out the extraneous.

It's hard to keep going when doors are slammed in your face.

To make great work, to have the most fun, you must push beyond the boundaries.

You can't say, "yes this is most important and fun", you must say "nope, this isn't it", over and over and over, paring down the list.

You must make what you want.

You must have an emphatic "No." to anything that is not precisely it, otherwise you'll settle and become stuck.

You don't want to become stuck.

You are a naked creature; everything can be taken away.

All you are is your experiences.

Pare down anything that is not in line with increasing your fun memories and experiences.

Don't worry about the possibility of losing what possessions you have; Mystery will guard you in a better manner than you can ever hope.

Don't worry about anything that can be done by another person.

Worry not about lost memoranda.

Do only that which you and your experiences can create.

That is your important work, that is the most fun, that is how you value yourself, and that is your purpose.

Renounce the fruit of all action.

Focus your observance on Mystery.

The most important thing is having fun.

Untether from those entities and obligations that are restricting your fun.

Will it get done without you?

Maybe not, but you must not worry about those things; you must not let them concern you.

It's not your job to perform other people's functions; it's theirs.

Put first things first.

You are the first thing in your environment.

Untether from what is holding you back from growing.

Nothing is for sure.

The only system is there is no system.

Thank you, Mystery.
]

ramble_ty11.10.17zm4d1s_nb_3

Renounce your desires for the fruit of action.

The systems you've built up over time can trap you in their ease, rather than helping you forward.

Refactor.

Make it sustainable, and don't stop.

Make a list of everything you'd like to do, and see what's important.

It can be as hard to remove things as it is to get them.

Learning can be about finding out when it's okay to cut corners.

"Why would that be?"

Mystery can do anything.

Filter by taking everything out and putting back only the most helpful.

"People with passion can change the world for the better."

"Your aim shouldn't be to be the richest person in the cemetery."

Memory predicts.

What you do affects how you think.

"Why not only do what you love?"

"Is there something else you want to do more?"

ramble_ty11.10.18zm4d2s_nb_3

Don't feel oppressed by your own to-do list.

What can you fully absorb yourself in?

Don't explain how it's made unless that adds to the taste.

Don't be oppressed by comfort.

When you don't know what to do, simplify.

"If you slept well, I slept well."

You have to read to get fast at reading.

A small whistle can make a loud noise.

Get rid of that which is holding you back.

Living things interact.

"You can, you just haven't tried hard enough."

Prayer affects your own mind and your own actions.

Make a concerted effort.

Clean your tools. Keep them in good shape.

ramble_ty11.10.19zm4d3s_nb_3

"You're right, but don't lie to make others believe you."

ramble_ty11.10.20zm4d4s_nb_3

Spices are cheap yet add so much value.

"Individuals who are realized in their own lives almost never criticize others."

[
When you think about helping instruct primitive people, and getting them up to speed, there are so many opportunities for growth.

Applying that same view, you can see how even now---even in the 21st century---there are still _so_ many avenues for growth.

Consider how you look at the primitive human, and how the future human looks at you.
]

Put in perspective how an animal sees a human. Now how the human sees the animal. Now how the human sees the alien. Now how the alien sees the human.

"If you just copy then you won't know how to do it."

"These ideas don't make sense." ... "They will in the future."

"A plant does not need shelter."

ramble_ty11.10.21zm4d5s_nb_3

"Beautiful people are just as dumb as the rest of us."

You learn more from answering harder questions.

"You must pay the price over an extended period of time to fully reap the benefits."

Force yourself to think in stories.

"If you don't see the rabbit, the dog seems crazy."

"I let the muse carry me."

"The stars are humbling."

When you know it can be done, you'll try much harder.

ramble_ty11.10.22zm4d6s_nb_3

A lighthouse can tell you to stay away.

"Time heals all."

Are you prepared to face your own self-sabotage?

Respect your craft. Do not consider yourself superior to it.

"It's not magic: It's math."

"Love your work. But you are not your work."

What do you want to be a pro at?

"There are as many amnesias as amnesiacs."

ramble_ty11.10.23zm4d7s_nb_3

Don't feel trapped by your wants.

There is data to be found.

What do you enjoy and love?

What do you want to do?

Don't let redundancy get in the way of progress.

You can always be better. This is liberation from the past.

[
What is fun?

It's having a stake in the game.

It's caring.

It's wanting to keep playing.

For so long we had to keep moving just to barely sustain ourselves.

Now we use our minds to build machines and nature.

How far will we go?

Will we create nanotechnology? Artificial general intelligence? Will we harness the power of DNA, proteins, life?

Is there a limit?

Is there a trend toward where humans are going?

We create new games all the time, and no matter how deep they get, we want deeper.

There are the games the Ellimist plays.

Are we far from that?

It's only a matter of time.

Fun can be ever-expansive.

Try and have fun every day, and change something if you aren't.

Building something, seeing something grow: that is fun.

Novel experiences: that is fun.

You will figure it out.

What do you want to do?

It's fun to believe humanity has an energetic and amusing future ahead.
]

You are no part of your body: You are the interaction.

What's really important after you've found out you have three months to live?

There's something to delayed gratification.

What are your principles and values?

What is your mission?

Figure out how to let go.

Life is a steady evolution of applying little tricks and tips.

The more you break from your desires, the more your desires will be fulfilled.

You can break new ground. You have broken new ground.

You can alter the system as long as you're consistent in how it's altered.

Apex predators face competition from each other.

"Doubts can be unsettling if left unsaid."

Fix the source and the rest will take care of itself.

Wind makes strong branches.

You are a player in a game.

"If we understand it, it's a word."

"How long before I should start worrying?" ... "You should never start worrying."

Never underestimate the power of time.

Comfort can trap you with inaction.

You can enjoy each facet of existence, even the bad, the harsh, the painful.

"If you don't understand, you can't answer questions."

ramble_ty11.10.24zm4d1s_nb_3

Where do you go from here?

There is a way to produce good work; it's by stepping forward and doing it.

There are many aspects to life that you have not considered, not laid eyes upon.

You can always know more, you can always explore more.

This journey is not about just you either; you are one grape clutching the vine in a vast ecosystem and creative existence.

I don't believe resistance is a personal force; I think it's an evolutionary benefit, a kind of holdover, that reins in unruly social behavior.

Resistance is fear of the unknown.

Fear is deep within the consciousness.

If a person can light themself aflame and not shriek with pain, cannot the fear be understood and overcome?

If not it shall indeed remain a daily struggle, but even there the systems can transcend it.

Resistance is a pattern of activity; it is dislike of the novel because of the transaction costs.

I don't think it's a separate problem to be killed off; I think it's a tool that can be understood and leveraged.

Resistance is a tool that calls you constantly to the comforts of life.

Food, sex, sleep: they are what have propelled the human ape forward, no matter what you may say about their baseness.

You require them all, not conquer them, not resist them, but live life with plural perspectives: human, animal, spirit.

The human is for the new, the ingenuity, the kind of wisdom and insight that the animal cannot produce.

The animal, a normal perspective, enjoys the comforts.

By splitting the animal and the human, you help both live in harmony more effectively.

The animal acts; the human reflects.

The human perspective aids the animal, and the animal perspective frees the human for less drudgerous tasks.

You need both, but by separating them, by giving your animal the choice to be employed by your human, you can leverage their progress toward each other.

The human brain wants animal comforts, but it needs more than that.

It needs love, and fun, and meaning.

It's easy to please, but it requires novel experiences often.

To the human, that is what is meaningful.

The animal, the seat of resistance, derives meaning from comfort of a physical nature, especially physical security.

Violate the animal's feeling of security and it can quickly become a fight or flight situation.

My animal fears death; it wants to preserve itself.

My human does as well, but in a different, more noble sense.

The human would die to help others live.

The animal experiences that emotion for closely-attached animals; it seems the human likely abstracts from the animal's feeling.

The human understands it is no easy task to live in a stagnant environment; the animal, once comfortable, prefers it.

The human recognizes that in change there is the possibility for greatness.

The animal, having seen death many more times than the human, prefers to stick with the known rather than take risks.

The human has figured out how to conquer those animals that once conquered it.

The human knows that in risk lies less risk.

Not creating, kills.

The animal is much older, but does not have that idea internalized, except in the human.

The human may not want to act, because of fear of making the wrong choice.

The animal sees all choices as short-term.

The animal knows death intimately; the human knows the fear much less.

Both the animal and the human are complementary.

They are assets to each other.
]

"The more you touch it, the worse it gets."

By acting you can find out how hard something really is.

Small doubt can bring down great ideas.

Experience uncompression yields artifacts.

Travel, to as much of the world as possible.

Learn as much as interests you, and it will all be clear.

"Meanness will come back to haunt them."

"Gamification should be about changing the world."

No matter how fast you run toward a wall, it doesn't really matter.

"The only person who can give you those answers is your own self."

Sometimes you have to go faster to get it done.

"Do what you know."

Understand your assumptions about life.

What do you want?

"Imagine how a plant grows ever upward. The higher leaves overshadow the original life givers, ending their helpfulness gradually. The new lets the old fend for itself."

"Write."

ramble_ty11.10.25zm4d2s_nb_3

When you stop caring, it stops mattering.

Think longer.

"Repeat after me: I am an illusion of the mind."

You do not exist; only memories exist.

Close your eyes and imagine stories.

Don't try to do it all at once. Separate it.

"One little messed up thing can throw the whole day off track."

The cook feeds the activity of the day.

The shorter the feedback loop, the faster the adjusting.

"It's in your imagination. But even if it was real, would it really matter?"

"It's easier to catch with a big net."

"You can allow people to change."

Look at the variety of colors in the leaves of trees.

If the glass is clean, things look cleaner.

Invest your time wisely.

"The recovery is as much mental as physical."

Why believe disempowering ideas?

"What means the most to you in the whole world?" ... "Memories."

"It's the same thing, just a different configuration."

One thing at a time.

ramble_ty11.10.26zm4d3s_nb_3

"There's always work to do."

[
.meta this is a model

Isn't it great when things work?

Isn't it great when you have the inner security to trust your intuitions?

It seems the trap of despair comes in waves.

Why does the human animal need despair?

Does it not restrict their action?

Selling puppies can make a mother dog depressed, is it the same with the human?

Is the cause, the reason for the existence evolutionarily, the same?

Why should the mother dog feel such pain?

Does it goad her to protect her pups better in the future?

Is it a short-lived phenomenon?

Must the pain linger for as long as it does? Does that help cement the feeling in her memory?

Surely the same fundamental life for years at a time is not in line with the human evolutionary nature to move and adapt to new stimulating environments.

How much did early humans leave?

Was it a genetic cause? An environmental shift?

I wonder the pattern for other great apes.

Do chimpanzees leave their families, or orangutans or gorillas?

We are so closely related, yet still we have enormous brains and complex behavior and their tool use is so limited.

We are of the same ilk, the same order.

Is depression caused by lack of hope, lack of innovation, an unchanging environment?

I do believe the brain can be chemically imbalanced, but our thoughts and environment can change those balances; it's not a spontaneous event.

There's no answer that satisfies every part of you; you have to balance different interests.

I can't say I find Resistance an impeccable theory; the Human/Animal model seems to have more basis and function better.

Believe whatever you find fun to believe.

What work does the author do?

Are they a weaver of tales? Do they break apart difficult ideas into digestible nibbles?

What is the function of the player of words?

What are the intentions?

What are the aims?

Mine is to impart hope and peace.

You are not failing when you don't reach it: You are learning what not to do.
]

It is not enough to be what you were: You must grow.

You must change the future by learning from the past.

You can't bring to mind forgotten memories.

"If life can do it, it'll find a way."

Being sick is part of life.

There can always be less stress.

Everything changes you; speeds vary.

Be thorough.

Adopt whatever form permits more survival and fun.

ramble_ty11.10.27zm4d4s_nb_3

"Let yourself get used to it."

"Without proper focus, things can be mistaken for other things, or not recognized at all."

"Never stop looking and you will find it."

Systems you create can lock you into your past choices.

Any change is better than nothing.

You can have success.
