I wanted to do something different
using the mind tech I work on
basically: you don’t exist, everything can be reframed, everything is just happening, there is no physical world, and everything is evolution
just a small piece of the mind tech I’m developing, but a core piece
the core of the core is: imagine something is happening automatically and it does
at the very least, it begins to
so, my friend asked about using this longgaming mind tech to become more aware of emotions, his own as well as other peoples’, and to accept the feelings rather than fighting or fleeing
and if we think about these things as happening automatically (both the arisings of the emotions, as well as the helpful patterns of accommodating them) then we can have more fun and interesting lives, perhaps
so, what’s the goal, then?
i suppose to think about things as happening automatically, and thus not judge them, neither in ourselves nor in others
like trees, growing where we will, based on the sunlight and nutrients provided
not really anyone’s fault; it’s just something that’s happening
so, on the inside, think about a time in your life when feelings have arisen that have not been the most helpful, like getting wound up about something, or anger, getting upset
i got upset recently when talking with friends about the inanity of the math taught by government schools
i lost self-awareness of the situation, got sucked into the discussion, rather than taking a step back and /asking questions/, like it perhaps is wiser to
for, as longgamers, we should not be bound in the animal, the plant; let us transcend to higher-level math, to technology, to machine
and asking questions is key to that; /ask questions for why they believe what they believe/; don’t try to force your model of them into a preconception
that is, don’t try to force the conversant into a box of what you think they are; ask them questions and map the space directly
that is longgaming.
so, begin noticing how that’s a feeling that can arise spontaneously, the feeling of self-awareness during a conversation
no matter what you’re doing, whom you’re with, that feeling can arise, automatically, that remembering that you’re a longgamer, that you seek first to understand
diagnose before prescribing, as wise have said
not that the goal of life is to tell others what they should do; focus on yourself first; you are the biggest constant in life; build a strong foundation
continuing to notice how that self-awareness can arise within you, that focusing on the broader environment, rather than short-term gains
focusing on your emotions
focusing on the emotions of others
reading them, feeling them as people, automatically
something arising within you, a pattern growing stronger
pattern of wisdom, of peacefulness
of kindness
noticing it growing strong within you, because it’s a pattern you want
wanting to understand yourself more
feeling yourself growing
changing, inside
that mindset shifting
noticing
becoming more
focusing on these words
noticing how you can achieve peace
acquiring peace by accepting
freeing yourself from judgment
accepting what’s here
accepting the moment
noticing that feeling within you
continuing to grow, inevitably
helping you to remember you’re a longgamer, seeing life as long
thinking about emotions as something to accept
because it feels so good to accept
so freeing to let go
stopping fighting
stopping struggling
just being here, now
being here, right here, with these words
feeling your breathing, noticing your body
feeling your chest rising, falling
noticing how, at any time, you can wake up to this moment
waking up to the subtlety, the sensations of being here
no longer trapped in your head, in a body
feeling yourself as the vast awareness, as the container of all
noticing this feeling arising without your need to pull it up
just happening
like a leaf falling from a tree: just happening
just being here, letting go
letting go of fear
of struggle
of doubt
letting go of trying to control the world
preferences are okay; beliefs of control are fraught with suffering
noticing there’s no need to fight
no need to flee
no need to run from this arising
this current sensation
make speed, not haste
feeling the texture of the moment
the feeling of the environment
the broader environment
remembering the trees, the plants, the animals
remembering how the feelings within you, these feelings of peace, of contentment, these are all arising without your control
arising without your need to create them
being a leaf in the wind, a longgamer, seeing life in centuries
letting less helpful emotions pass, feeling them drifting away, a wave leaving you
putting all those negative emotions, all those fears, all those doubts, closer together
putting all those doubts, those worries, any negativity, in a box
closing the box
feeling yourself taking the box to the edge of a forest, a jungle
the feeling of sticks breaking as you walk closer
looking at the box, deciding to let those feelings go, deciding to be present, more and more, to this moment
opening the box, the worries, the doubts, the fears, all negativity, flying off into the woods
all of them eaten
gone
feeling that peace, knowing it’s okay to be without them, without doubt or negativity
feeling yourself waking up, waking up to this moment
feeling your breath, your hands, your face
noticing how these are continuing to remind you to accept your emotions, to invest your attention, your awareness
investing your attention in being aware of others
seeing how they move, how they breathe
how they’re talking, how they’re expressing themselves
accepting that
accepting whatever happens
accepting, and knowing that by accepting, you can rise above disorder
feeling yourself transcending
becoming on a higher-plane
where these things are being observed, watched, noticing it’s okay for the body to fail
it’s okay for the emotions to spark
accepting all, and in accepting, rising above
and in rising above, establishing peace within
feeling this happening to you
feeling yourself thinking of times where this would have been helpful
where being more aware would allow more peace, more equanimity, more joy
feeling yourself jumping out of the system, jumping out of the animal, jumping out of the body, becoming broader
feeling yourself losing the taste for judging right and wrong
letting yourself notice how you’re beginning to reframe
reframing things, always in a positive light, in a helpful light
feeling that within you, growing that pattern, that seed
that seed, that plant, the pattern of acceptance
noticing it’s okay to have preferences, because these are natural
noticing it’s okay to let go of the past, letting go of the desires for specific futures
accepting the sensations, wherever they arise, wherever they’re leading
no longer needing to be stuck in the body, stuck in the head, worrying about what others think of you
feeling that peacefulness growing, spreading throughout you, uncontrollably
perceiving goodness, kindness, in others
helping that grow
tending that positive garden, helping it become that jungle of complexity, of peacefulness
that self-sustaining garden, no longer needing to fight the world
accepting what comes, changing how you feel, how you believe, in order to have a more fun and interesting life
not needing to do anything; knowing it’s all just happening, and that’s okay
knowing you can rest in this moment, rest in these peaceful moments, these patterns spreading throughout you, taking over any doubts, stopping negativity
being here, now, awakening to this moment
awakening to the longgame; noticing how Now and Eternity are one
being outside of time and space, feeling the body moving on its own, letting the emotions rise, and fall, without judging
feeling the ability to judge the world, slowly disappearing
noticing how you can be here, you can be in this moment
feeling yourself here, forgetting what it was like to judge, to want the world to be other than it is
letting yourself transcend, and by transcending, finding the body being better
finding the body being happier, more productive, more thoughtful
the body growing more peaceful, accepting what is, and so helping the world more
being like water, flowing rather than fighting
noticing it’s okay to be like this, to let the body desire, to let the body move how it does
not being attached to positive or negative, so being satisfied in this moment, peaceful in this moment
letting go of all attachments, letting go of all doubts, becoming one with all, with the broader environment
noticing you can let go
noticing you can be aware
becoming more aware of those emotions inside
becoming more aware of those behaviors of others
not needing to fight; not needing to resist
accepting, and by doing so, growing
becoming more
becoming greater
finding yourself unable to change back
being unable to fight the world, any longer
those paths being blocked, freeing you now for true peace
freeing you to experience eternity, now
finding those patterns growing
those patterns of positivity; those patterns of helpful emotions
finding your awareness growing, becoming more
no longer attaching to specific outcomes
having more flexibility, being kinder, gentler
noticing how this is happening to you, how good it’s feeling, because you’re not wanting to go back
only wanting to be here, to accept what is, to grow from that
knowing the body will continue to develop, to build, to be productive
knowing there’s no need to judge it, to call something bad or good
feeling yourself accepting the moment, accepting the sensations, knowing this is true
the sensations of breathing, of the air on your skin
knowing these can remind you, reminding you to come back to this moment, playing the longgame
finding yourself asking questions
seeking to understand; not being able to condemn
wanting to understand, to transcend, to grow
growing kinder, wiser, more graceful
feeling yourself here, this world being accepted
knowing you can do this
knowing you’re getting better
knowing the body will do what it wants
being willing to accept it
not judging it
finding yourself not wanting to judge it
being here, noticing you’re asking questions, becoming more
not fighting, and so growing
cooperating
knowing all life is in this together
knowing all people are in this together
knowing you can be kinder, gentler
finding yourself being unable to criticize the body
noticing you’re accepting what is
noticing it’s a pattern growing within you, unstoppable
being colonized by peace, unable to drown out
all the dream oceans in the all the dream worlds, never being able to extinguish the fire of wakefulness
those emotions of mindfulness, of recognizing the body’s actions as not your own
being more than the body
being the world
