The Longgame memory hacking stuff (i.e., mind is purely memory and entirely finessable) is not necessarily in the sense of biology; it’s more about the fundamentals of Nature itself.
In that sense, information/experiences/memories are never lost, fundamentally, perhaps. Physics that says information could be lost will likely be shown wrong, I think.
The memory hacking I’m talking about has more to do with the repercussions of a model of being purely memory and direct explict methods finessing it, such as deliberately “padding” experiences to change how they are remembered. This can be very powerful and life changing.
There are other very powerful methods too that my company (LonggameTech) is developing, such as Longgame mindtech, memetics, developing the automatic imagination model of mind, etc. Very cool stuff.
With regard to remembering things more effectively, I highly recommend developing memory palaces; hyperdimensional memory palace spaces are extremely powerful.
